  • Hey guys I'm back with a quick video talking about building a secret door. I wanted to discuss my pool cue rack secret door and explain how I came up with the idea. I also wanted to show you how simple it actually was because it's just a normal hollow core interior door underneath. I have much more projects coming and I'm currently filming the making of the horse race game. That video will be up soon and it's epic so stick around. Thanks for watching and make sure you subscribe and follow me on social media.

    That's great for a panic room encase anyone ever breaks in. You would never know there's a hiding place behind there. You could also use it to hide your weapons maybe Great work.

    We used to find stuff like this in drug dealers houses a lot. A lot of them, we would have never found without someone telling us about it. A lot of times the only way to find them were with measuring tapes
    , and could tale hours, something a burglar probably wouldn’t have.

    I bought a 24" tall x 18 heater return vent at Home Depot and cut a hole in the drywall, between studs, I lined the inside with soft felt. I have a simple hiding place for my coin collection, plus, plus. 4 screws, and the cover comes off, easy access. It looks perfectly normal in the room. IF you have a lot of stuff to hide, you can put one in a few different rooms.

    Nice. I think you did the best you could to hide that room but given the room layout of your house the architecture really gives the hidden room away. So all a burglar has to do is to search for the mechanism to open the door. If you want to really hide a room you would want to make sure no one would even suspect a room in that space.

      @@tommyboydiy1484 True outswing hidden doors are difficult. I have two. It is nowhere that simple, if you actually want the hinges to be truly hidden. You can separate the hinge-side moulding vertically so that one vertical slice swings away from the door and acts as a cover plate for the door hinges. Use step-out cabinet hinges for this piece of moulding. Then the actual door hinge can be a piano hinge or almost anything. The trick is hiding the 80 inch tall vertical joint in the moulding and making the left and right sides look the same.

    • @nevillenewman2785
      @nevillenewman2785 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kassklein1 There is a reason Murphy does post-pivot doors that are basically a combo in/out swing. Their design is great, but it does take up a bunch of space in the door opening.
