I have no issues following the numbers but many sheet musics do not have the position of the fingers.I am a member. I recommend the program very professional I finished the rookie mode like 93 exercises

When I go to the Playground Sessions Music Store and select Lesson Type>Video Tutorials, this song, as well as possibly all of the songs that you (Phil) have entered are not listed. How can I be sure if I purchase a song from the Song Library, that a video lesson will be included?

We are working hard to get more videos of Phil in the app. For now, you won't see videos for the song lessons in the song store (except for the few that David Sides teaches in video). But you will have interactive notation for every single note you learn and play! We are producing whole courses with many videos of Phil teaching, and those will be coming out very soon. Phil, I don't understand. I bought the intermediate version on the Playground Session store expecting to see your instructional video of the entire song included. There was no video with the purchase. Are these short video clips on youtube all the instructional videos that are available?
Hey Earl, thanks for writing in. Due to the sheer volume of practice segments in the app, I (Phil) can’t realistically produce a video for each and every one. I wish I could! But as you know, we do the FULL song in the app, and in 3 difficulty levels, so part of my job is to figure out which section from which level to showcase here on TH-cam.
However, these TH-cam videos are not the ONLY video lessons in the app... David Sides has some tutorial videos for songs as well as boot camp lessons. And there are some comprehensive courses in the app we’ll be launching soon with videos of me teaching core concepts like scales, chords, how to read music, etc.
We hope to soon be able to include more videos for songs in the app in the near future.
Phil, thank you for the reply. Your video lessons on TH-cam are outstanding and I was hoping the videos on TH-cam were an excerpt from the video included with the purchase.
I actually had cancelled my subscription to Playground Sessions about one year ago because of the cost of purchasing the music along with the cost of the subscription. When I saw your videos on TH-cam, I decided to give it another go.
Trying to do the left hand and I am not seeing what keys the fingers are on...the highlighted keys help. The right hand is clear.
The left hand section begins at 3:16, and includes a full breakdown with light-up keys! :)
how can i cancle the 30day free trial after i must pay money?
You can cancel the trial anytime during the 30-day trial period without paying anything. However, once the trial period is up, you will be charged for a monthly membership if you haven't cancelled. This is standard for most trials of most services.
Just learning chord piano took lessons 9 years ago but never liked reading sheet music. I would like the full song but I live on limited income 65 yrs old can't afford this monthly. Would you consider helping me?

W O W finally a way to play that works for me. My mom attempted to teach me when I was 8 yrs. It was so structured and extremely boring. I wasn't learning a song. She was so nice, but that was not the way I learn. I like Hallelujah, the music is beautiful; however, when I listened to the words of the 2nd or 3rd chorus....the words are dark and almost an evil undertone-strange.

It's weird to me that you're teaching to play the vocal melody (plus some chords to keep your left hand busy) on the piano. Then in the background the automatic accompaniment is what you should actually be learning to play on the keys. These songs are meant to be sung, so what's being learned here is going to make it pretty weird if you decide you actually want to sing it (or have someone sing along).
Thanks for writing in Neil, we appreciate your thoughts. We like to teach piano arrangements of songs for people who want to learn the full song, not just the piano part to a song. However, we plan to introduce that option in the near future as well. In the mean time, if you wish to sing along with this one while you play, you can simply leave out the right hand, or even double what the left hand is playing in the right hand an octave higher.
Neil Mortimer , don't forget, we are just learning to play, or we wouldn't need the app. We like it simple. You can always get the sheet music when you become more advanced🤓
Sure, but even as a beginner paying Playground Sessions to hold my hand while getting acquainted with the keyboard, I'd personally be happier committing something to muscle memory that I or someone else can sing along with - without my right hand's work either overlapping the vocals or going behind my back. Maybe it's unfulfilling for others to be playing a song with the melody missing (if nobody is singing), but for these songs where the vocals are such a big part of the appeal, at least on the highest difficulty I'd rather end up with something that resembles the orginal score, because otherwise it amounts to spending your time learning Muzak™. If I wanted to learn music with no expectation of vocal accompaniment to perform, I'd be looking at classical rather than something like this.
Bottom line is that once you've "mastered" the highest level of a song available on this program, it feels like you still don't know how to play the song - you just know something that invokes it in a sort of cheesy way.
These are fair points, Neil. Your input is appreciated and we are listening. We're currently working on adding a new version of songs that we publish which will be an "accompaniment only" version. The aim of this new arrangement style will be to teach just the piano/keyboard part to a song (as you are wanting here). It may take some time to build the library of this style of song lessons, but rest assured we are working hard to deliver it.

You should stop the music in the background while you are teaching. It’s is very distracting
Hey Ken, we try to eliminate the background music whenever Phil is playing actual notes during his instruction. Sometimes the background music carries on into his instruction though before he actually starts playing. Your feedback is appreciated!
