That 47 percent combo that Liu Kang did was insane lmaoo
When a Low and Overhead hit at the same time, it neutralizes the mix up and becomes a mid. This became known with Quan Chi in MKX with his bat setups. Playing Online can easily make this occur even if you practice hitting the OH and Low separately. FYI

@@banditofgc4930In MKX it would become a mid if you hit the overhead and low in the same frame, in this game even if its 1 or 2 frame difference it doesn't become a mid but character blocks it automatically...
@@DNephilim yeah smt like that, either way when you get an automatic block from a tough mix-up you just thank allah and punish
I think If they’re 1-2 frames from each other, you just have to block whichever comes first and it’ll automatically block the second hit. Still a mix up, but not too bad

Jev, you should try the Sonya Kameo. Lotta good stuff in there for sub zero. Kameo conmand grab, a projectile, and a combo extension for your low string.

You are in control they need to come to you! Most projectiles are highs so practice crouching under or flawless blocking mid projectiles so people don’t overwhelm you with keepaway

Jev if you hit an overhead and low too close (2 frames apart) they can Block both as if the were standing and ducking. Basically a protection to those unblockables setups

JEVVVVV when you throw the low hat+overhead hammer setup, if your overhead lands first and it's blocked, the low hat gets auto blocked regardless of them standing up. there's a tutorial section about it, it's like a "anti unblockable" thing so you can't cheese the game too hard. butttttt, if you make sure the hat hits first then you're golden cuz the overhead will definitely land, idk what it is but i've noticed it happen to you a few times where you put out the hammer too early and the hat gets blocked and you're all "whaaaaaaa"
CORRECTION it only matters if the two attacks are very close together, still a timing thing but im a little

Little advice for the low hat Jev. You want to put a more distinct break between low hat and overhead.
If you have them hit at the same time, it’s an unblockable and doesn’t count. Give time for one to finish before sending the other.

Watching Jev's last video was really funny to me. He was pissed off about the Kitana running away during the match, but the thing is, even in the higher ranks of Kombat League, most people are doing that as well. It's simply way too effective to walk back, wait for your opponent to do something stupid, and punish them for it. Which wouldn't be a bad thing if it wasn't for the clock almost always about to run out. I just hope for Jev's sake, he never runs into a Liu Kang that just spams projectile and runs away while also only doing back throws because he still hasn't learned how to tech them.
I swear jevs improved, i enter these videos expecting him to outright lose every time and he clutches up, either that or everyone got worse. Either way stay on that grind jev ❤

That low over head setup is a timing issue Jev. If they both hit the same time the game has a safeguard where it doesn’t matter if they stand block or down block because it’ll protect them either way
