His words from his heart encourage us to draw near to the heart of Jesus, to the HOLY TRINITY.. with our hearts. Glory to God..may this be so for all of us..

Pretense is indeed the enemy of our relationship with Christ our Savior! Please O Lord Jesus, make us transparent to ourselves and so let us be transparent in our life with Thee!

This is a true monk and priest. He keeps it real because his faith is real.

Just, wow! I feel like this video was made for me. Allow yourself to fall early, leaving an open door to Christ so that before or after you're in your 30's you are already arised following Christ and His plan for you.

Makes me think of the parable of the talents and the servant who was too fearful to do anything, thinking Christ was only out to punish him. Who we think Christ is and what we believe He thinks of us will have a fundamental effect on our relationship with Him and how we live. A healthy relationship is built on trust and honesty without which love cannot grow.

Self made starets are ubiquitous in modern Orthodoxy.
