We have the new, highly anticipated L2502 fresh off the truck! Zach walks us through the things that are different and the things that are the same as the L2501. We're sure this one is going to be a popular model!
Mine is ordered. Added ballast to the tires, block heater, wheel spacers, and the loader and forks. I can't wait to take delivery. Thank you for the video. I am new to tractors and this was a nice intro to my new toy.
According to the FTC, since at least 2021, Kubota has labeled thousands of those parts as Made in USA when, in fact, they were imported from overseas. In addition, the FTC says that the company moved some its manufacturing to locations outside the United States and yet continued to label those products as Made in USA.Jan 26, 2024
Id rather have the clutch and mechanical pto lever of the l2501. The electric pto is just another thing to break or go wrong. Im constantly having to troubleshoot and fix the electrical components on my case 580sl, give me simple mechanical levers over electrical actuators any day of the week
Even bigger improvements would be replacing the treadle pedal with side by side pedals and real front end protection. Treating LEDs like a big upgrade in 2023 is a bit silly considering how cheap they are to replace yourself and they are too low/obstructed by whatever is attached to the FEL so a high mounted light bar is still a better option.
The treadle pedal debate is a tough one. It seems like a 50/50 split of preference on rocker vs side-by-side. The LEDs may seem silly, but it is a definite Factory improvement from the halogens, and having the ones on the side are handy for extra light, a cheap, but needed improvement. You are correct though, a ROPS mounted work light is always best.
@@brettadams417 I was nearly killed by a drunk driver in 1999 and my right side only has about 40% of the strength of my left. I bought a Yanmar YT347 instead of a JD 4-Series because the step and floor are lower and it has an extra inch and a half between the console and seat so it's easier for me to slide my leg over. Kubota was an automatic NO because my ankle doesn't have enough dexterity to comfortably use a treadle pedal all day.
I like the treadle pedal personally. With size 13w shoes I'm always catching both pedals on my father in laws deere when trying to operate it. My kubota never has that issue. Could see someone with small feet not having that problem
You probably saved some money then! Most dealers are giving good deals on the L2501s right now, plus resale value is very good with such a well known model.
Unfortunately no cab on the standard L series. The closest option is the LX2610 or LX2620 cab model. Or buy the L2502 and put a Curtis cab on it, but since it isn't OEM it wont be near as nice as a factory option!
For those considering a manual......Too Bad they didn't do something with those grinding gears in the manual. I have 29hrs on my 2501L manual and about 80% of the time it grinds when going from F to R and back to F. Come to a COMPLETE stop and fully depress clutch pedal yep, still does it. If you have all day to get a job done...depress the clutch pedal and wait about 15-20 secs, it's very smooth. The 2501/2L is NOT a good tractor for lots of forward reverse operations. This trait makes it very unenjoyable to use. Wish my dealer would have told me that!
Not easily unfortunately, it is a whole different mounting bracket for the seat, so all the hardware and brackets and the seats would need to be swapped. Probably cheaper to just buy something aftermarket to make it more comfortable!

Love mine! You forgot to mention they got rid of the sight glass! They finally have a dip stick to check the hydraulic fluid

R4 Tire for anything Farm and woods related. Is the pits.
Thank you for the information and video take care.
Hey Zach thanks for answering my question
Is the range/shuttle synchronized on the gear drive 2502?
Does the L2502 have the auto throttle function?
Not to distract from the video; but the camera person was fighting a war against all them bugs flying around at the start of the video!
As the camera person, I really was!

The treadle pedal is one of the things I like the most about mine

Ohhhh Daddy WANTS!
Gaaaaahhhh! I just bought a 2501 last week!

Has a video been done yet on the 'actual lift capacity ' of an L3560 with LA805 loader?
We have this on our schedule to film next week!
@@kubotaoflynchburg excellent, very ready to see it in action
Just posted! th-cam.com/video/_SSmX71noGQ/w-d-xo.html
I was looking for a new Kubota tractor. Kubota has the worst websites, yes, even at the dealers. So hard to navigate and find what your looking for.
Hey Zack I have a question for you can you get the Kubota l2502 in a cab

I noticed the same thing I almost called the dealer mine seems to be getting a little better at 67 hrs.
the L2502 gear drive does have syncros
They probably sell 100 hydros for every gear drive.Gear drive is slowly fading away.
Can the new seat be retrofitted to the L2501?
Not easily unfortunately, it is a whole different mounting bracket for the seat, so all the hardware and brackets and the seats would need to be swapped. Probably cheaper to just buy something aftermarket to make it more comfortable!
Does it have the same motor as the L2501?
Same engine, same frame, same transmission and same tires! Just new features and some new operator platform upgrades.
Whats the fuel capacity and is it 4wd?
The fuel tank holds 11 gallons. You can order it in 2WD, but we only sell them in 4WD at our dealership!
Can I get that seat for a b2920. Pls pls
when will the L4802 be available?
Hopefully in the next month or two!
