I believe his parents have some polish roots, but i might be wrong
_Janek_ is a very common Polish first name. Not sure about _Gwizdala_. Probably an alteration of _Gwiazdała_, but I believe that’s feminine. Hope some Poles can correct me on this.
Gwizdała literally means "she was whistling", so I'm not sure what to think about that. :)
Janek is just a pet name from Jan which is John.
