A few years ago, by pure chance, I found & rescued a Mike Powers from my local record\game\toy shop! I had just finished reassembling my dad & uncle's Joe collection, so I recognized him.
Seems like Bullet Man would have done better as a separate line, interesting figure but as a kid I struggled with how he was a GI Joe figure. Quite valuable now ✨. Thanks for watching
and Kenner made their action figures 13 inches tall, because that is comparable with GI Joe, Big Jim, and Action Jackson. I have both; guess which has more play value?
Was a big GI joe Adventure Team fan as a kid. Also loved "The Six Million Dollar Man" when it aired. Even at eight years old I could see this was some kind of copycat attempt to mimic the Six Million Dollar Man. I never accepted him as a GI Joe........ I was a weird kid.
IMO G.I.JOE really suffered when they deviated from realistic military weapons and clothing. The Adventure Team when it first started was not too offensive but when they got to this point they really jumped the shark and lost sight of what JOE was. The name JOE stems from average Joe so when you make them into a team of superheroes you lose that completely its the same reason I'm not a fan of the "Real American Hero" line I really appreciate the Power Team action figures put out by Big Lots those maintain the spirit of what G.I. JOE should be and their toys have great articulation and detail I love their dog tags too because they are a realistic size for the figure.
Yeah, Action Man in the UK kept the military theme throughout and they lasted almost a decade longer than GI Joe. Gotta stick to your roots and to what works. I'm actually jealous of the Action Man line, because they released a lot of modern military gear (modern being from that respective era of course) like SAS, Royal Marines, and Falklands outfit.

I have Bullet Man and Mike Power. Bullet Man was the one that jumped the shark, though poor Mike may have died of radiation sickness.

I got one for Christmas 🎄 when I was 7yrs old
I find it strange how Mike Powers could run 200mph with only 1 atomic leg! How did his natural leg keep up?
I'm guessing it would have been like a hop run, idk 😅

Straight out of my childhood.

Looks like Mike (Brady) Power.
"Here's the story
Of an atomic man named Brady..."
Great video !!
Thanks Jesse, thank you for watching!
Remarkable that Hasbro was able to make a blatant copy of the Six Million Dollar Man back then.

How can one leg make him run 200 miles. It doesn’t make any sense, it’s kinda silly 🙃
