UltimateMoralizer They probably haven't heard Nightwish or other symphonic metal bands, then, because they mix classical elements with metal. Not to mention, Tuomas studied classical music before forming Nightwish, and incorporates some of those elements.

First suggesting a more standard build-up by the addition of drums at 3:56, and then only four seconds later a key change coming right at the moment when you are least expecting it, and completely nonstandard!

would say he managed to get her to sing in different tones than we got used to when we heard her in After Forever. her voice sounds way more dynamic, relatable, and still operatic and epic when needed, like in prev Nightwish songs when they play live
3:58 when they change the modulation in the middle of the chorus and blast the chorus in its full glory is so satisfying to listen to. Because of that I got interested in "new" nightwish after Tarja left the band. This nuance is just ingenious and something I've never heard. You gotta love nightwish.
'We were here!' Such a powerful and beautiful phrase in this amazing song! One of my favorites up till now though I am still new to the Nihtwish army. Ever since I found Ghost Love Score about a month ago and FELL IN LOVE with Floor Jansen! Now I am n this beautiful journey of discovering through all their music albums
We were here is even MORE impactful and emotionally moving in the end track of this album And we are being blest with a 10th studio album over the new year period

There is no other band that can keep this level of lyrics in every single song, sure every band has some good ones but in nightwish's case, that's the rule and not the exception. I would go as far to say that Nightwish are artistic revolionists, at least as far as their lyrics go.
Been a fan for a very long time, but this new album and sound with the band + floor's vocals, makes me feel as it's the best time to be a nightwish fan :)

It took me a while getting used to it, but it's really great. I love how they keep changing and evolving with each new release, it keeps their music more interesting.
Saw you guys last year with Sabaton and Delain in Houston. Will see you in a few weeks in San Antonio. Floor is just phenomenal in my humble opinion. Even moreso in those leather pants she was rocking

the key change in this song is fascinating to me. i've never really thought about doing a key change in the middle of a phrase but it's so dramatic
Since the first time I heard this, the key change you speak of always destroys me (in a good way). It's just so unique and musically powerful.
