Here usually I fail at 4:45. I tried to like pick the wall and aim at the target but I almost made contact. Poles are also a bit tricky too but now I realized that I have to jump when it's about to get close as I tried to catch earlier when it close but kept falling.
yeah, the jump at 4:45 was also tricky for me. i think the key is to try to get as much air time as possible (holding jump button) before you headbutt the target. that whole area was the trickiest for me to get consistently.
Yeah, I was right in my assessment of seeing this tower and going "Oh, fuck this." I tried it once, got a few checkpoints up, kept falling for the stupidest reason. I'd maybe attempt this if Alexis appeared on the tower, but for hand-waving reasons she isn't, because being super punishing about death equates to good game difficulty, right? Least this is just bonus content for the masochists who like this sort of thing. Eh...it was a decent game, not too bad to complete for the normal ending. I just wish there was one or two more levels similar to Wolloh's Hollow instead of the tower levels. Levels made arbitrarily for testing your skills of the game's full mechanics just aren't compelling to me. Exploring a more grounded, "realistic" environment, one I could believe characters might live in, appeals more to me.
i understand preferring a more explorable and immersive experience, it's a fine preference to have. i do however take issue with your anxiety tower's difficulty statements. anxiety tower isn't even close to being "super punishing about deaths". the game lets you start it with full HP, meaning you can take a lot of hits/deaths before forcing you to restart it completely. in addition to that, the level is extremely generous with checkpoints. there are like 9 in total, plus you can heal up a bit on 3 different spots. i'd say the level does indeed have "good game difficulty" because it's a gauntlet, a test of patience, yet surprisingly merciful for one. it's hard but completely doable and none of the setups really feel bullshitty. if you had alexis show up during the level's checkpoints, there would be no difficulty at all in the first place because punishment would not exist. not trying to be rude, but the fact that you said "fuck this" just by looking at the level might be the bigger issue here, not the level itself. there are many games out there with unfair and straight up bad design, but this ain't it.
@@rizaiauwu We all have our threshold for how difficult we want our games. I draw the line at needing to repeat an entire level for dying X number of times at one spot. I've already proved I can do it once, don't waste my time by making me do it again. It's why I am vehemently against any sort of lives system in modern games. It's why I opted for the "Modern" experience in Crash 4. Game's difficult enough later on, especially if you're trying to get all the boxes, so I don't need starting the level over at any point on top of that challenge. But really, it's all a moot point, because The Anxiety Tower is bonus content, not meant to be played by everyone who plays the game. It's there for you, it's not there for me, and that's fine.
@@RedRingtail you're right and i respect your opinions 👍 i just don't like how you seem to call it bad design simply because it offers a challenge. other than that it's all good
@@rizaiauwu Cool cool. All that said, thanks for posting the vid! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything relevant to my interests, and it looks like I wasn't.
Seriously it's I wanna be the guy this stuff. We must perfectly know all the game to be able to do this stage. I am not an hardcore gamer that play several week each day to beat an game. When I finish the vanilla part of the game, with credit ect, I delete the game and I did not finish the void blue item stuff.
I think Anxiety Tower took me like... An hour or two to beat. It's not that bad when you get the hang of it. Blue Screws def need a guide for but it only took me like, 10 or so hours to get everything.

not gonna lie, some of the void screws are almost impossible to find without a guide xD

I wanna be the guy is much, much harder than this in my opinion.
