Currently i am reading the fourth way, great book most of emphasis is on developing consciousness, and finding out hidden traits of our personality. Also finished in search of miraculous contains brief discussion about gurdjieff teachings. Thanks to Osho because of him i was introduced to gurdjieff and ouspensky. I would suggest to listen to osho you will definitely learn many thing from osho.

I have read a few of Oshos books and he writes very well. The Fourth Way is a magical book with a giant amount of information. Gurdjieffs teachings have impacted my life profoundly. They are very powerful. I hope you benefit from your studies 🙏

This is excellent, thank you. However, I have studied Gurdjieff’s works extensively, and I have realized by my own experience that without guidance, a teacher to help us examine where we are, is impossible to change one’s character. We are all stuck in one of the centers that you speak about, the fakir, the monk, and the yogi, and it is impossible to willfully incorporate all three. Just watching your videos is entertaining but does not change a thing. When the student is ready the teacher appears.

Great Story! It shows what a brilliant master Gurdjieff was.

You have to understand, that this system is in fact pre-work,it is a path that leads to fourth way, and not fourth way itself. As both ouspensky and gurdgief said, the fourth way begins from a level much higher than ordinary life. The man, has to study a lot and make a lot of efforts in order to wake up. The real fourth way starts with man number 4. The level of such a man is totally different from men 1,2,and 3 and is always a result of conscious inner work. Nobody is born with that level and the circumstances of life never can give such a level to anyone. The evolution of man is a whole life process. The knowledge available in the system is superb...

I think that’s a fair point you are making. As in anything one is learning, someone to guide and assist who is further along the road than yourself is most helpful. Sadly regarding the Gurdjieff work, I seem to find that in the books. 🙏

@@bookclub5291 Sadly? Spiritual growth is a dynamic process. Intuition and reason are required. We all must face our egoistic nature and overcome complacency and the resistance to change oneself. Love and happiness must be earned with great efforts. Hope, prayers, and meditation will not help us get to the promise land.
