Fat Cat bubble tea is legitimately an amazing neighborhood BBT!! It’s been here for many many years, a childhood staple for many school kids and it always gives adults a sense of nostalgia because they grew up drinking bbt from here too … :’)
I’ve recently visited and unfortunately the auntie said that the landlord is increasing rental to the point that they’re unable to make any profits (I mean their price point is alr so ridic low) so if they can’t find a smaller shop within the market she may retire for good :((

True on the point that in taiwan, bubble tea is water. That being said, i like regular tea as well and taiwan has some good stuff. Anyway, most of my childhood bubble tea spots have closed in recent years.. :( I also dont have a favourite store, since i like 1-2 drinks per store depending on what taste i like, some nostalgic, some good tea, some good topping combinations.

This video make me think of a 24hr bbt challenge. Rule is only pearl milk tea from neighborhood shop and not from big brand. Each shop only buy once only. Help to bring exposure to this neighborhood gems. Like we think of bbt always the big brands and we pay alot for it.
