Not any that like flavor, they at least use seasoning and condiments. Unless you're one of those that thinks vegan means all veggies plain and nothing else. Seasonings are usually all non-meat products you know.

As a brit, you're mostly correct. Fish and chip shops usually have salt and vinegar on the counter for use at your own discretion. And the national dish is chicken tikka masala and has been since the 90s. Honestly Indian cuisine is one of the better options and where the food passion lies, through colonial cultural appropriation unfortunately.

I just adore her accent ( Yorkshire?) , she’s such a hoot. I think this is one of the more benign meals she’s made, I mean I think I could get through half a nuked tatty, some undercooked pasta and unseasoned cold tinned tomatoes… for Kay , bless her heart.

Technically, she didn't actually "make" anything. All she did was heat up 3 things and put them together on a plate. This should really be called the "broke and single man-child" dinner.

My boss recently went to London and brought back not only the Covid, but also the knowledge that their food is in fact sans seasoning. She also brought back an assortment of candy, and let me just say, NOTHING beats a Snickers!
Almost everything beats snickers.
The base of american candies is puke-flavoured chocolate (there is butyric acid in it from some process; hersheys is the most pronounced and literally retch inducing), fondant and caramel; two of the cheapest sugary substances with almost no flavour. Snickers combines 2 of those things with the least tasty of all nuts (even including macadamia nuts).

As a highly British student I can assure you barely anybody eats like this let alone cooks like this, the only exepetion would be homeless people or adults with no job its kinda like how some people eat tremendously badly in America, its not everyone, just a very odd selection

Hey August, I just wanted to let you know why Kay was talking about rings at 4:16 . Shes talking about rings because some of the shapes of hobs (dont know the american equilvalent for that word) are ring-shaped (atleast in Britain they are). So when shes saying what rings she needs to turn on. Shes talking about what parts of the stove she needs to turn on.

I’m not British but being an Aussie (the feral child of the pommys) I can confirm that seasoning either doesn’t exist or is just copious amounts of salt & pepper. There is no in between. I’ll ad 3ton of s&p to nearly everything, but my 50+ year old parents only just found out that a margarita pizza needs herbs, seasoning just not apart of their vocabulary. But I mean, what else can you expect from two countries who’s greatest culinary achievements are Vegemite/Marmite, Weetbix, Namme noodles, sausage Sangas & chip buttys.
Ngl even if the cooking seems bad, Kay is still a nice lady IMO

Sure, I can't imagine it helps a person ever to become a functioning member of society, but it's mildly endearing enough to still qualify for the definition of being endeared by it, much like her food still qualifies as nutrient matter.
