    I got the SR2. 3 instead. I like the idea of being able to replace the chain segments. Will probably never have to though!

    But you still need a second hex wrench to undo the lock ring while using the chain whip. Maybe useful for people who keep losing their hex wrench between undoing lock ring and reassembly. Seems like a feature for a feature's sake.

      You can also use a crescent wrench or socket on the removal tool (FR 5.2 for example, see video below) to undo the lock ring, so no need to buy a hex wrench at all if you have either of those tools. I wouldn't buy a hex wrench and instead use either a crescent wrench or a socket (depending on how tight the lock ring is), since I already have those tools. So, the hex wrench is not a feature for feature sake for me.

      The Hex wrench is useful when reinstalling the cassette lockring

      But you should be using a torque wrench

    Oh so that's how you use it. I was using it on the largest cog and it really hurt. 😀

    I find the hex wrench is useful when re nstalling the cassette lockring
