The only thing i would have done different is replacing the really worn out wheel. probably with a sealed bearing one. Great. I will do the same to a great bike I was given in the street just a few days ago. In Germany it is cheaper to throw bikes away than to repair them. 😅. This is my luck

I didn't want to run the car wash for one derailleur, and once we washed the rear derailleur in an ultrasonic washer and the paint came off, which was a shame in front of the bike owner🙄
@@NiceBikeService You might still be able to find "Shimano's Workhorse" M770-M772 XT components🤘🤘. A store here in 🍁 still sells M770 XT 9spd. cassettes 🤘🤘
Its Shimano tourney...just buy new parts. So cheap. Bet you could have bought a ten year old deore on line for 50 dollars . We fix and ment parts if youre out in the middle of nowhere, but generally just some new cheap parts would be quicker with more time doing something else. Again, perhaps thats not the purpose of the whole experience and video then good job, but, i alway look at jobs in time and effort personally
Thanks for the comment. Some of the work we do is really for the sake of the video, for a workshop that services bikes in a flow, such work would not be profitable and would be too time consuming

An ultrasonic cleaner is oustanding for cleaning Derailleurs, chains, bolts etc
Once, the ultrasound caused all the paint on the rear derailleur to come off, so we don't wash it again😸

By bending the derailleur while installed you will bend the derailleur hanger!
If you bend it carefully, everything will be fine
Has not happened to me, could be the cleaner used. I use an ultrasonic specific cleaner powder

You need a 2008 Shimano XT M770 HollowTek 2 crank🤘🤘 and a 2009 Shimano XT M770 Shadow rear derailer 🤘🤘
I bought my M770 XT HollowTek 2 crank in 2008🤘🤘, a M760 or M770 XT front derailer in 2009, and the M772 XT 9spd. Shadow read derailer also in 2009🤘🤘
up to 2014 were the most reliable components. they were made with very high quality! congratulations!)))))))))

By repair, you mean replace. Most people don’t look after their bikes and show hoping for a “quick service” when everything is rusted and worn out.
