Yes, I agree. Look LSU was going to win regardless - they obviously have the superior talent. But, to be fair, it’s important to know that Purdue’s QB and 2 top receivers chose not to play in the game - completely decimating any chance to perform offensively. Even just moving the ball and allowing the defense to get some rest between series would have probably lead to a more respectable outcome (35-14 or something). Purdue defense was exhausted by the end of the first quarter and you can recover from that. Us Purdue fans knew it was going to be ugly - just hoped it wouldn’t have been this ugly. A month later and I'm still confused on how the bookies could have possibly thought that this was a good matchup, even Tulane would have performed much better.
Purdue didn't play with their 3 best offensive players and who accounted for ALL their offense. Plus their head coach. You did know that right. Also Purdue lost two games on the very last play of the game twice. Penn St and Syracuse because of their terrible DB's. Purdue wasn't really that good this year because of their defense. The very reason they hired the architect of one of the best if not the best defense in the nation. Can't take anything from LSU. Amazing season for the Tigers. Sad day for Purdue. They looked like a high school team playing pros. I'm thinking they've got some "Rebuilding" to do next year.
Nice Job to LSU and Mississippi State for making the Big Ten look bad!!
At least Illinois put up a fight. Purdue got spanked and then some.
@@sbcj9 I’m just glad that the Big Ten is doing bad now. I don’t like the Big Ten. Unless if Big Ten teams are playing against my LEAST favorite teams like Alabama or Oklahoma!
Haven't seen something like this in 3 years
Geaux LSU!!
I need Nuss to start bros arm is crazy
This was definitely not the year Purdue should have played an SEC team and not many have been in the recent past. Boilers are 2nd tier Big 10, regardless of winning their division. Lets' play some B-ball LSU!
LSU Lady Tigers are National BB Champs now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, LSU Won the CWS Championship in Baseball.
2023 Football coming right up !!!!!
There’s a TD missing in this video. LSU goes up 35-0 but no footage of it
Been studying Jayden this summer guy is so inconsistent and his pocket awareness when the pocket collapses is yikes still
leaning backing LSU -2.5 in the opener I know Kelly will have these guys prepared he's a great HC, Perkins on defense is an
absolute hellrazor, Swinson is a monster too ...a 2nd off season with the offense I expect the good Jayden Daniels in the opener.
good season for Brian Kelly indeed. I am a B1G Guy and it hasn't been a good Bowl season for this conference this year.. Two B1G teams making it to the playoff and losing, Altho the Buckeyes and Georgia was an outstanding game.. Buckeye proving they'll always belong against the SEC.
Not necessarily, Georgia sent its entire defense to the draft and was not the favorite coming into this year. Ohio State actually was one of the favorites coming into the year because they were returning a lot and still didn’t win.
@@Wuncler - UGA returned 17 starters, were projected to win the East, and were preseason #3. How were they not favorites? UGA was extremely lucky that OSU kicker missed the FG.
The SEC is top heavy, but we would be top heavy in any conference. Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and LSU would be on top of any conference.
My boys is playing today!!!!
Geaux Tulane!!!! Ya heard me 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 N.O Bound
Yeah I didn't expect this game to be close, I don't think very many people did. Purdue lost a lot of talent last year with Korlaufus and Bell going to the NFL. This really was a rebuilding year for them considering they don't get very many five-star or four-star recruits
They only had one more loss than LSU should’ve been an even matchup. Big 10 really getting exposed😂
@@Covey7342 records don't mean anything. It didn't beat anybody significant this year
@@PokemanTrucker Yeah you’re right, idk why teams even care about winning games for real since records don’t matter
This was like watching a game of Madden being played by someone against their 3 year old kid! 😂😂
Just weren’t ready for the Sec , certainly not them Tigers !!!!!
LSU and USC definitely would have been epic! However Tulane and USC was phenomenal!
WOW what a great effort & win by the Tigers! Way to show the rest of the SEC how to win bowl games. I sure wish they woulda matched the Tigers up with USC. That woulda been a better game.
USC couldn’t beat the team from Louisiana that weren’t good enough to play at LSU
Yeah, LSU hasn't played Tulane since 2009, which ended a yearly rivalry since 1893. LSU is due to play USC, since both were co-champions in 2003.
It's unfortunate that the same LSU lost to a terrible A&M team.
Well A&M isn’t bad they just lazy and quit easily
Lsu was missing a lot of people in the a&m game. A&M also had got there star rb back. The running back was the only reason texas A&M put up points. And it makes sense when you realize that lsu only had 3 d line man that have played the whole year. Only three.
So…Purdue loses their coach…loses their top two players and LSU runs up the score to 63…And apparently that’s fine…Last year, LSU lost their coach, had opt outs and KSU decided to takes their foot off the gas after running up the score to 40…And LSU fans were screaming and crying about KSU’s poor sportsmanship…I’m a little confused 😂😂😂😂 but LSU looked phenomenal in this game…Football fans are weird man 😂
It's not even fair for teams outside the S.E.C............poor guys
LSU just played around with these boys I think they should have gave us some better team to play with some challenge this is how LSU should be playing next year hopefully
LSU and Bama both had silly bowl games. They should have been playing way better teams. At least Tenn got Clemson.
@@aguyfromnothere Kansas State won the Big 12 and just beat TCU that's a solid bowl opponent.
LSU dont wanna see Austin Peay!
@@awilliams5007 😂😂 Boy Chill Out
@@JesusSaves33011 exactly and people were saying the Big 12 was the toughest conference this season
A month later and I'm still confused on how the bookies could have possibly thought that this was a good matchup, even Tulane would have performed much better.
8:17 so much was going on on that play😭
Great Victory 🏆🏈🏈.
Maybe they will stop pitting Purdue against SEC teams after this. Auburn played them a few years ago and pounded them as well lol like 63-10.
I personally think they were better than Michigan however, there is a reason they didn't play for the national title. Right?
@@curtisthompson8488 LSU wasn't full either. Excuses excuses.
@@huntertrum3658 Not making excuses. Purdue was never going to beat LSU. National Champion 2020 correct? Our top guys are walk ons. You have 4 star guys sitting. Excuses will come from your coach. Thats all he did at ND and thats what you will get.
@@curtisthompson8488 LSU lost four game this season. Never once heard BDK make any negative comments about his players and effort given in any of them. ie... throwing the players under the bus. ND fans said that a lot. Never heard any so called excuses from the head coach. Most of it was "have to do a better job coaching."
@@fredpitre2199 Yes, we have to do a better job coaching. excuse 1, So and so had a hang nail. Excuse 2. Refs called a bad game excuse 3. Thats just what we saw in Indiana. Maybe he won't pull that in Baton Rouge or wherever y'all are from.
Nabors is Bad Arsre. So is coach Kelly. He rocks.
Gotta love the Madden crowd sound effects 😅
Reminded me of the piped in crowd noise and cardboard cutouts during the pandemic.
All these big 10 people got real excited about starting out at 4wins and zero losses in small bowls. But look what happens in the big bowls.
The OSU almost won against #1 UGA. Our PK had a bad day and couldn't handle that feisty Dawgs D at the final play.
@@middlefinger1565 To be fair UGA missed two much shorter field goals in the game.
Purdue was missing:
all big ten QB, all big ten TE, all american WR (accounted for 40% of passing yards), WR2, all big ten C and RG, starting linebacker, CB1, DL1, head coach, OC, DC, TE coach, WR coach, DL coach and linebacker coach
They were playing with QB3, which is a bit better than what LSU had to work with against K. State (which was a WR playing QB).
LSU is missing people too, I don't know who though. But no one is taking these non-CFP bowl games seriously.
Brian Kelly won 10 games this season which is his ceiling!
Lol keep thinking that. Dude beat Alabama with the weakest roster he’s ever had.
I am shocked that Purdue did not put up much of a fight. They were in the conference Championship for crying out loud.
Best players opted out.
@@jron5113 so did LSUs😂
@@coreyrogers5358 Purdue without coach, starting quarterback, and best receiver.
@@jron5113 LSU is with a first year head coach, without their best receiver, played 4th stringers almost all game long, and a starting corner. I’m pretty sure LSU had more players out than Purdue. Stop with the excuses.
Not sure how an unranked Purdue was picked to square off against a 17th ranked and top-tier SEC team. Granted they finished first in the much weaker B1G West, but this was a mismatch from the start. A more traditional B1G team like Wisconsin or Minnesota would have matched up better against an SEC team like this.
So this the B10 West champs?
Yeah the Big 10 West was terrible. Iowa nearly took first and they lost to the last place team in the Big 12.
@@BG-bx4ey who did Penn State play?
@@BG-bx4ey The OSU had UGA on the ropes for nearly the entire game. The Dawgs had to come from behind to beat them.
@@BG-bx4ey WE almost beat the #1 in the nation. We got unlucky on a missed 50 yd FG attempt that would have won it for tOSU.

Nice to see Purdue get a good ol fashioned spanking
I like the way he zoom out further away instead of closer I guess he was afraid you could see the person make and costume
Hello, 911, I'd like to report a murder. The victim is Purdue.
After the 99 yard pick six with LSU up 56 to 7 with less than a minute left why didn't coach Kelly call for an onside kick? That way they could try to win 70 to 7.
Kirby Smart would have
Looking at that pick 6 they need to find a place on offense for number 41 that kid got wheels

So many LSU highlights they had to show a Purdue highlight twice.
Since the 1978 Sugar Bowl and now the SEC is 61-32 against the Big Ten in bowl games. Not counting the wins Nebraska and Penn State had against the SEC. before joining the Big ten. Question is why do Big Ten fans keep trash talking the S. E. C.
