No prob! When I found it, I was also in limbo about info so I decided to check it out and make a video. My format is usually kinda nutty, but I think the music really chilled me out when I was recording it. I never felt more relaxed making a video.
I hate those washers on my Yeti. That would almost be enough to make me get a nano. I saw the nano at the store, and wanted to see a review. You did a really good job. I loved the editing too. :)

Someone needs to do a teardown of this badboy. Logitech purchased it so be suspect of some hopeful "improvements." Just because it has the same guts doesn't mean it will have anywhere near the same value. the OG yeti has a chromed carrier frame, big ass analog dials and a solid aluminum casting all in a hefty 4lb package. It is a nice sounding microphone AND a really solid build. Perhaps look at some other brands, or save for the OG.
You mean like the foam shields? Those usually come with a mount, and depending on the mount bolt size, you may need and adapter. Noise is more dampened than cancelled, but it at least helps you not worry bout room echo.

I should note that for twice the price, it's not gonna be twice the quality and performance, but rather a decently higher quality sound with a few more features such as better gain control, being more compact, easier to use, and having a better amp for the headphones. It's sort of a great all-rounder for most case situations. Personally, feel like you're less likely to think about replacing the Nano than the Snowball in the long run due to the performance it can churn out and the convenience it provides. Buuuuuuuut, if it's just a mic for comms in games, then the snowball is just right.

Hi my yeti on the bottom where you plug in the usb and the headset jack is covered with some informational stuff. Is there a wya to take it off or should I return it?
Informational stuff? Like things pointing out where the things are? If so, it should be fine to remove unless it's super sketchy lookin. Been a while so I don't remember if mine had that.
What's a good gain for the microphone. When I use the blue Sherpa software my sound bar is in the middle when I'm not even talking and I set my gain to 37 but I get a lot of noise in my videis
It can, and can even act as an audio output because of the headphone jack. That said, you may have to jump a few hoops adjusting input and output settings.
I have a nano plugged into my ps4 and when i listen to myself talk it doesn't sound good. do i gotta plug it in the computer and find out how to adjust the gain and playback
@@leandereckholdt3203 Gotta open the windows sound settings in the control panel, choose the mic, and go into device properties, then additional mic properties. From there, you can change the setting under the advanced tab.
For sure, but like most mics you definitely gonna need to buy a pop filter to block the hard air hits from certain vocal sounds like "p" sounds. Another method is to rap diagonally away from the mic(but still at it and close to it) so any hard breaths don't hit the mic directly, but a pop filter is definitely preferred.
No yeah I definitely noticed that now, it's one of my older videos that I tried to rush out because I had it on hand before a lot of other people, course now I know being first to cover it don't mean anything.
Been a while since I've had the mic, but if memory serves right it has to do with a setting. Could be set to not monitor your voice thru the headphone, but I could be wrong.
Teknickel lmao your video was the only blue yeti nano video that actually helped me set it up. I didn’t realize that it had a mic compressor on the back and my audio was fucked until I turned it off.

you can use the foam where the mic came in for a noise canceling so there will be no other sound to come into the mic

Sorry, I accidentally left the gain at max a few times. I was playing with the software and didn't quite turn back the gain properly each time.

You have to long press the pattern selection button on the back to turn it back on

It is, it's quite versatile. Just makes sure you get the positioning good to get your voice and guitar heard well.

I don't think there's a way other than thru the controls on the app your phone is using, and some apps do have such controls, but others don't.

Well the mic alway needs to be powered, so as long as the cable runs from the usb slot on the mic to the usb slot on the phone it should be fine.

Not sure, but I know changing the sampling rate in the sound settings fixes it.
