honestly coolest part of these is knowing you're improving alongside making these videos. And you're really giving us what worked for you which is golden knowledge
Your videos are the best! And your sense of humor is perfect. I hope you keeping going!
Another awesome video, honestly these videos and your character all together have been my biggest motivation for callisthenics and physical activity. Appreciate this man, you're the best.
Ain’t seen one of ur vids Ina minute, glad to see u got the one arm pull-up
to see you progress in your training and in your video styles brings joy :D
Man in all that years of watching calisthenics vids this is truly the most practical and helpful one arm pull up vid I’ve seen
Since I started watching you I’ve gone more into calisthenics and at this point now I’ve gone from doing 1 nasty form pull-up to 5-6 consecutive good form pull ups in just about 2-3 weeks. Thanks for the motivo Colin
Bro you are genuinely such a chill influence on my fitness journey. I've only implemented a few calisthenics exercises I've seen off your channel and it feels like I'm finally in the right direction. 1 year in and I've gone from 2 pull ups to 17 with good form. Thanks for everything!
Legend! Dude that's actual insane progress your definitely in the right direction. Keep working and I'm glad you like the channel
@@colinmurrayYT5 months 0-10 good form
@@adaml67931 to 3 months (I forgot when I started pull-ups) went from 0 to 4
This is so helpful, thanks. Very detailed. You also probably kept me from breaking my arm
Thanks bro I will use this as my motivation for my glow up this 2024.
Very Cool Video! Keep up the great work!
Always improving, this one
Nice man, much love from germany ❤🎉
thanks for the tips - it's my goal this year
I just discovered today that I am able to do it with both arms. I've never done it before an actually kinda shocked. Yes i do a lot of regular pull ups. I can do about 30 straight. I think what helped a lot was that I incorporated single arm bent over rows the past month.
You rock!
You finally did it, that’s hella impressive for 6’3
Yea got it done! Thank you
Is it tougher when one is taller?
@@hastensavoir7782 in calisthenics, the taller you are, the harder everything is.
@@hastensavoir7782 absolutely
Step 1: be able to do at least 1 normal pull up 😅
0:40 - for you❤
@@colinmurrayYT my man called it
Thank you😮💨🤣
Lol more like @ least 20 Straight.
Done
I just watched your 7 days protein bar challenge video where you failed this and now I'm seeing this. awesome work!
Ayeeee he finally got it!
Beast status! gj Colin!
Yessir! Thank you🙌
Dude you never stop😮
Never!🙌
Really really good content, thanks! for how long did you keep at it before you succeeded?
Good tips
Well done - total respct.
Thank you!
I’ve been able to get to 90 degrees one arm for a year now, and I’ve really wanted to get to one arm, but I haven’t really been training for it. Guess it’s time to do that!
Another great video 🦾🦾
Thanks🙌
Love your videos, Colin. Be careful to keep consistent audio levels in your voice-overs. 😘
Noted! Thanks
Love your vids man. How much time do you put into working out and did you put in extra work (in regards to time) for this? I like doing calisthenics and i have a workout routine for 3 times a week which is ok but could be better, but work really kills my consistency for time. Sometimes i gotta workout late at night or early in the morning and it gets annoying
5:36 HAHAHA great video thanks for making content
colin you gotta do a QnA video , btw love ur videos :)
I been getting this comment a lot. I suppose I can do it, do you have a question?
Great advice, just one small question, how about learning one arm Australian rows before learning one arm pullups? I think that will make the transition easier and better towards learning the one arm pullups right?
Love ur vids bro could u do a vid on arms
🔥🔥
Watch what door frames you use the pull-up bar on. I had a friend rip the trim right off of the door frame the first time he used it. The average door trim is held only be thin paneling nails.
It’s worked in most of the frames I’ve been around. I trust it at least
Great
🙏
can you give routines for beginner intermediate and advanced with exercises for doing the oapu this would be very helpful
like you did in your fl tut vid
Dang I should have made it like that. I’ll have to work on another project in the future!
currently my max pull ups is 9 reps in one go and I can do like 6 reps for 3 to 4 sets rn hope to be able to do one arm pull up one day.
Such a beast 😍
Can you do a video on if men should do kegels?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's funny I literally got my first one arm pull up a few days ago
Ayye respect🫡 and congrats! I wanna get mine cleaner
@@colinmurrayYThell yeah man same for me 💪, just watched the vid and very solid tips keep it up man, I really enjoy those 🔥
Weighted pullup game is on point, my boy. I can't seem to get past 25 lbs with mine.
its a very hard exercise. hang in there and keep at it! they r very great for unlocking other skills.
Protect your shoulders, guys (especially for those of us over 40). Injuries are humbling at best and life changing at worst.
Phenomenal 💥
Glad you liked it!
Cam you drop a abs tutorial , i can do hand stand a l sit for now but dono how to target abs
What is the difference between pulling towards the other side of the face versus pulling on the same side?
Suppose Right Arm to Left side of Face vs Right Arm to Right side of Face.
By master the pull-up do you mean get like 8 to 10 good pullups or something like that or just get good at the pull-up motion?
When I do armed pull ups and go down my body swings so I can’t do multiple reps without touching the ground although I think I have the strength to go for at least three reps without touching the ground. Any suggestions?
Did Colin get a quarter million subscribers in 1 year??? Looks like guppy, bites like shark. He's a TH-cam Algorithm Shark controlling his vocal inflection (raising his octaves at the end of each statement to make it sound like a question) and vocal fry and so much more. What a pro. So impressive. Take notes, guys.
Are u a dude
Colin don't know if you'll see this but I'm curious, do you stay shredded year around or just every once in a while drop down to it? If so is it rough?
I’d say I stay lean year round for the most part. I think shredded is different and it did affect my energy a bit when I was like that. But yeah cutting is tough but it’s not impossible.
I will see you next Wednesday
Can you please do a tutorial on how to do a weekly workout plan please!!! Ive been trying so hard to create one but all these calistenics athletes on the internet say that the optimal way to train is their way or that way and I just feel like with every video I watch about this subject I get to know less and less! Please help me! 🙏🙏🙏
stop watching videos and start mastering the basics: pullups pushups dips
If you go to my channel playlists in my workout plans section. You can find one but just get into it bro don’t let perfection stop you from starting
0:40
Me watching this video while not being able to do a pullup.
I'm working on it though.
Will you ever do a q&a ?
Maybe in the future idk it sounds like a good idea
Colin are you really strict with your diet or do you do cardio to stay so ripped?
I used to be really active so I didn’t have to worry about it but now that I don't move as much I try to eat clean
Out of curiosity after learning the 1 arm pullup try to do a front lever and let me know if it trasnlates into that
I got the front lever before the oap weighted pull-ups are better imo for that
I noticed in your other videos that you had acne, and now you don’t really, so you do reckon you could make a tutorial on how you got rid of it??
Bro, for years my left lower bicep inner elbow area has prohibited me from pull-ups... Not even an excuse, I love dips and pull ups... I wish I could fix this...
Right now I can do 10 clean slow pull-ups. My next goal is learning muscle-ups. It shouldn't be too hard, I just need to figure out how to
Yeah with 10 clean pull-ups you might have the strength to do it now. I have a tutorial on my channel if you want a how to
how much was the weight on weighted pull ups before you started to attempt 1 hands?
I think I could do 2 plates for 1-3 when I started seriously training it
@@colinmurrayYT appreciate you, on 40lbs weighted vest, 50 more to go
Aye that's legit bro💪keep improving!@@everythinggrows
Which arm do you use? 😅
ngl - i'm just trynna pull you in my direction. haha
When I was 18 I had no probs with 2 arms for 10 pull ups. Now I am 67 I hardly can do 1 Pull - Up and forget 1 arm ugh.
3:55 where is this?
how do you pull higher??
That's as high as I can go with one but if you wanna fly with two hands checkout my muscle up video, I spill the secrets
Is it just me or this guy is the most beautiful man on earth?
Sherk?
You a climber yet?
Had a freak clasmate who could do five one arm pullups at age 17 no training whatsoever
Amazing body!
Good luck to the person that weighs 250lbs lol
Bro get bigger legs you have good upper body, and you are tall, legs would make you look killer
Edit : How tall are you btw?
6’3 and I’ve been trying bro😂
0:57 matching socks..... u've changed man :/
I’m sorry bro I didn’t mean it😭
i want to be colin's friend
Im so gay& inlove sry but i stared at ur face the whole time RESPECTFULLY 😍😻
Awesome video Colin.. knew you would get this.. because you are a consistent non-quitter🤗
Watched you do them from both sides.. my guys wanted to know if it matters if you are left or right handed.. should you train both sides.. or just go with your dominant side.. and then get the other later? Or work both sides at same time?🥹
Anyway.. you are awesome.. cannot wait to see what you decide to do next😊
Jen999💜💙
Definitely train both sides that’s very important. And I’m right hand so it is easier on my dominant side but I train both. But thanks for the comment Jen hope all is well!
@@colinmurrayYT Thanks, Colin.. and we’re all good.. hope your 2024 is as great as you are :)
