Elephant in the room: what is being done to correct those massive hitting slumps, like the six-week mid-summer one and the NLDS one? If the team has leadership and plate discipline issue, then bringing in a few players will not help. The issues are deeper.
@RSeaker they have made it clear already that is not an issue. The entire coaching staff will be returning and nothing has been said about changes to their hitting approach. Nope they feel they have a world series roster and plan sticking with it for 2025.
As a jays fan, I can say that as long as you rely on him as your closer you might be ok. He was very overrated by some Toronto fans while he was there. He succumbed to pressures when they need him the most, he choke. His numbers were deceiving.
What a horrible start. This team is going the wrong direction. They blew their shot prematurely with the wrong bats. Can’t win with pitching alone especially with horrible defense and zero situational hitting. The Phillie aren’t worth watching
There are valid complaints about this team, but to say they aren't worth watching is absolutely asinine. I guess you prefer to watch losing teams who don't make the playoffs.
Poverty franchise gets a guy coming off an elbow injury to replace to all star relievers who blew up in the playoffs yet again. I’m sorry I’m out on this Phillies season, they are just like the sixers let’s be real.

@matthavens6401 yet when it mattered, the team played with zero heart and zero motivation to win. Then, when they lost, not a single person on the team cared. Nothing was more infuriating than listening to all the post game interviews and every single player sounding like they just lost a random game in the middle of the season. They massively let the fan down and couldn't care less. No one I being held accountable, nothing different is being done.

But to say they played with no heart and didn't care is crazy. They want to win worse than we do. It's baseball, you can't compare it to other sports. What do you want them to say afterwards? @matthavens6401 the eyes test says differently. All I remember from that final game the dugout looked like they went home before the game even started. Then post game interviews as if they lost a game mid season. Nah everything about their body language showed no heart and passion.
