Yeah she was super popular back then but like with a lot of artists who quickly get that much success they fade away and become somewhat forgotten about
Christophr John careful, you sound like a very bitter old person. She wasn't comparing herself to anyone, she was INFLUENCED by them. There is a difference. :)
Multisphere1, are you kidding? She has a wonderful body! She is currently dressing like a mix of Kate Bush and Diane Keaton ... and has more talent than you, so keep your silly comments to yourself.
It still haunts me to this day that Scammy snubbed Melodrama. Lorde deserves album of the century, and Grammy didn’t even award her album of the year. What’s up??
I KNOWWWW Melodrama deserved everything and it lost to 24K magic? Like I know it has great production or whatever but the themes of that album are so shallow like ohhh look at Bruno Mars he’s rich and he’s bragging about it
It's kinda sad listen to her saying that Pure Heroine is chill and easy and fun. I understand that she has grown and changed, and im really happy about that. I understand too that her work on melodrama is more mature and fine, and I think she didn't say it in a bad way. But there's an amazing work in PH, some really deep and relatable lyrics, and the sound creates a nice ambient and aesthetic. She should recognize and embrace that. I think.
I mean I don’t think she’s bashing Pure Heroine but at the same time let’s be real Melodrama is a stronger album as a whole so she’s evolving like an artist should.
Ricardo R. I disagree. Melodrama is MORE personal and stripped down but SO great. However, there is something really hauntingly beautiful and THOUGHT PROVOKING about Pure Heroine. If I have to choose only one Lorde's album, as much as I am obsessed with Melodrama, I will still go for Pure Heroine simply because It talks about a lot of things and it is not restricted to Loving relationships, breakups, Making fun memories and partying like Melodrama.
She's just answering the question on how she felt making the album. Because, in the first place, there is no pressure in making your debult album so that"s why she said that making Pure Herione was chill and easy and fun. On the other hand, creating and making ideas about your musical direction on your second album seems more complicated since you are aiming a definite goal which is to maintain your artistry. There's a lot of artists who gained critical success in making their debut album but failed to maintain their artistry (especially those who went mainstream) with their following albums.
Tinity Zacherty On the Beats Interview she said she wanted to procduce and write her next album and she said it would take her around 5 years, so it should be ready around 2022
Tinity Zacherty she actually just recently said her new album was almost finished, but her dog recently passed and she needed some time. So it should be much sooner than 2022
I'm at fanboy mood with lorde that if I see a interview I will watch it no matter the time. Before green light came out not going to lie three days before I listen to her old albums because I missed her songs I thought when is she going to come back. I still can't believe it she's back
True, I liked how when she was describing her different strong emotions she projected it into her voice and her body (obviously those were meant to be exaggerations but still)
what an icon!!!! This artist is the songwriter of our generation !! she writes her own lyrics (which are very pure) and does not pay other people to write them for her (ahem billy, miley, ariana, katy...take notes girls)
Florence and the Machine are an English indie rock band that formed in London in 2007, consisting of lead singer Florence Welch, keyboardist Isabella Summers, and a collaboration of other artists. Florence Welch - lead vocals, percussion Isabella Summers - keyboards, synths, backing vocals Robert Ackroyd - lead guitar Christopher Lloyd Hayden - drums, percussion, backing vocals, acoustic guitar Tom Monger - harp, xylophone Mark Saunders - bass guitar, percussion, backing vocals Rusty Bradshaw - piano, Hammond, rhythm guitar, backing vocals Samantha White - backing vocals
I think the point that guy was trying to make is that you said "lead singer" but already said her name. "+ The Machine" is just the band backing her lol

I'd take Melodrama all day personally. I love both albums but top to bottom I just think Melodrama is much stronger and I definitely find the emotional depth of the album much more interesting.
Can someone please let me know what song was playing during the question transitions- i know its gotta be some sort of "bizarre love triangle" remix ???
that outfit snatched my wig, cleared my acne and payed for my college
Sophia Simmons paid*

wow what a mood. this literally describes me right now, like this very minute.
@@sophiasimmons3307 still a quality comment
Lorde is honestly one of the most underrated artists in the industry right now!
Aaron Fleming ha
Aaron Fleming she had a number one single for 9 weeks and two other Top 10 singles... I wouldn't exactly call her underrated lol
Yeah she was super popular back then but like with a lot of artists who quickly get that much success they fade away and become somewhat forgotten about
Uh I still feel like lorde is very relevant still though???
To me it seems like Lorde is everywhere again. Don't really understand where you get the notion she's underrated?
she's so articulate, i'm like nodding at everything she says and how she describes it
Ethan Cox she is not articulate. animated? kind of. unique? sure. relatable? (if you're 16). she is in now way articulate
she is also arrogant to compare herself to don henley
Ethan Cox also she it looks like she was 20 the same time I was.
Christophr John careful, you sound like a very bitter old person. She wasn't comparing herself to anyone, she was INFLUENCED by them. There is a difference. :)
@@MudlaneWorkshop the emphasis on the choice word "influence " also proves she's articulate.
i love how she talks with her body

It’s so hard to not do that
lorde seems like shes come more out of her self and confident and cool love her grown up confident style and personality and quirky talented music
I want to be her best friend. She seems so genuine. We need more A lists celebs like her in the music industry.
She is a musical genius, her music making is an art and a process. which you don't see much of today.
jack and lorde understand me on a deep personal level
She is authentic, she doesn't try to fit and you can feel it in her music, that's why I love her and of course she's talented and cool haha
It still haunts me to this day that Scammy snubbed Melodrama. Lorde deserves album of the century, and Grammy didn’t even award her album of the year. What’s up??

You're exaggerating just a little. And... who cares about a scripted prize? Her music hits the same

I think she was answering the question of "how it was to make the album", not the album itself
Josué Torres she was recognizing and embracing it. lol.
I mean I don’t think she’s bashing Pure Heroine but at the same time let’s be real Melodrama is a stronger album as a whole so she’s evolving like an artist should.

Got such raw feeling when she said pop music has changed a lot when really todays sound is pure heroine
my god she's so beautiful i feel like a trash.

God made you good. As it says in Genesis. No one should feel less or comparing them to someone. He made you, YOU :).
