Afriforum you urgently need to start a 'workaway' volunteer program for vulnerable farms. In exchange for board and lodging you get some young folks in, from SA or abroad, willing to take on some chores and particularly be ready to help in case of intruders. Some weapons training would also help. This could save lives of elderly vulnerable farmers.

These comments are disappointing and saddening. Where does this footage promote or encourage racism? A group of men broke in to a house. AfriForum is an Afrikaner organisation seeking to acquire funding and support for the few Afrikaner who are still in disbelief that they are now suppose to live in harmony with black people. Their objective is to establish/create a "volk stad" (city/town) for Afrikaners only which will exclude all other races. We can not have the exclusion of people from certain areas of the our country and still say we live in a free and democratic country.
The mindset of the Afrikaner needs to change. It was unfortunate the the old apart-hate (not a spelling error) government sold, mostly to the Afrikaners, the dream of a country free from blacks and the white Afrikaner ruled, and then in 1994 simply left these guys and said "oh well, the blacks run the country now". This left these guys dejected and without purpose. So they continue to fight against the black South Africans, through violence themselves (I've experienced this first hand), through propaganda, and through compassion seeking stunts such as these.
If you watch the documentary Fatherland, you will see that these guys are simply looking to fulfil the purpose they had during apartheid days and not realising that things have changed. However the saddest part of this is that they are indoctrinating these ideas into the kids, the next generation who will unfortunately struggle if they can not live along side African people and they will never have their volk stad.

Sensors for cameras can be set so they do not pick up animals. Internal silent alarms are a must and they even tell you where the intruder is in the house. Looking at the time on the video it took them one hour to get into the passage...and NO-ONE heard them....boy do they really need an alarm!!! Lastly, an intruder whether black or white is still an INTRUDER rethink your security measures and stay safe!

Actually, my aunt and uncle were robbed by men in baklavas in a very affluent area in Sandton. They tied them up. Got into the safe and stole diamonds etc. My uncle is a jeweler. I seriously don't find a problem with the death penalty for rape and murder. Going to someones house and killing/raping them should be death penalty, however, if the farmer were to shoot and kill the intruder (be either of any race) that is an act of self defense, but should still have consequences. If it's real, the police have done a great job of finding the guys...
If it's fake:
It goes to show that people will go way too far to try and get things seen their way. I find it sick to be mimicking a real issue in our country to become more popular. We can already see that this is afriforums most viewed video by a long shot, so it has caught attention.

Would you walk up to a cripple and tell them they are useless because they cannot contribute to society? If you would then you are seriously messed up. In our country, yes there may be more crime committed by black or coloured people, but we mustn't forget the awful poverty that white people pushed them into during Apartheid. There are leaders in political parties that are convincing people that may be more easily influenced, to commit crimes (such as the looting in the CBD of Cape Town) which also boils down to what people have been taught. Again though, crimes like Rape and Murder are intolerable, so people must have some common sense to see that what they are doing is wrong.

Death penalty doesn't stop crime, it often makes it worse, and it's more often used as a tool for getting rid of opposition e.g. Ken Saro-Wiwa.

You have a right to defend your life, and the lives of your family. You also have the right to protect your property. If 4 men with weapons enter your house, they're carrying dangerous weapons and obviously their intentions aren't merely to steal something... they came prepared. In this scenario you are allowed to defend your life without consequences.

You're wrong. The death pently would reduce the crime trends drastically. In other countries where capital punishment is still enforced (not only for murder, but for rape and also drug trafficking) less crime is being committed. Obviously there still is crime, but a lot less.
