  • Having already built the one man thermal kennel shelter and bed in Part 1, in this video Graham demonstrates how to make a pot hanger, also know as a Wahgen stick, to get a billy can over the fire before settling down to the sounds of the woods as night falls. On day two we watch the morning mist roll away and make fire by spark using a ferro rod. Graham demonstrates how to use a home made reflector oven to bake bread and cook steak, explains how to make your own collapsible reflector oven to fit in a rucksack and reviews how the shelter performed overnight.

    Really interesting video to watch! Looks so peaceful. Keep it up. How long did it take that oven to cook the steak?

      Not long actually, maybe 10 minutes. The little reflector ovens are very effective, especially if you bank up the fire to increase the heat radiated into the oven.
