I replaced a 6901z bearing on the right rear motor hub. I had to remove the motor sleeve and the aluminum motor hub face. I punched the bearing out using the skate tool and a crowbar for a hammer and 2 pieces of 3/4 inch MDF on top of the cement driveway. I skate a 30 inch k-panther.
Wow I got the same board just put 680 miles on mine spent 180$ on it a year ago and just now have to replace my bearings. I also upgraded the 8 mile battery to the er 12 mile batt
Yes I have looked at belt drive boards, but i'm an old school skater and had my first board back in the 70s when I was about 10, so I love the pure look of a hub motor, I would love one of the skateboards with the battery inside the deck, so it doesn't even look electric, but thy don't give you the range i'm looking for at the moment, maybe in the future when battery tec gets even better.
@@beesleyboy Definately understandablr. JayKay trucks are the best at that but price is super high and range is low. It's amazin nonetheless and hopefully both those aspects should improve in future.
I didn't need to get the second hub bearing out, as it doesn't get effectid buy the rain and crap of the road. On my wheel's the tyres should perish before the bearing. However as fare as I can remember, there is a small gap behind the bearing, so if I need to change it in the future, I would make a low-profile puller. If that fails I would take of the outer plastic hubcap and drill 3 small hole's through the wheele hub in a slightly smaller diameter than the bearing. Then tap them out in a circular order, then repear the holes with some epoxy mettle weld, sand smooth and replaced the plastic hubcap. 😉
Brilliant Video Gord. You did not drink you tea. Lots of good skill passed on there. I am a little annoyed I am not getting notifications in my Email any more. I don't want to miss anything you do. I will have to see where it is switched on. I get notifications of loads of shit I am not Intrested in. 🏆🏆🏆

@@wolfcanine100hi bud, yes it's a great board, I built my own battery when the first one ran out. 👍
This helps so much
👏🏼👏🏼 Their belt drive W2 is worth a look, probably the best value belt drive board. Battery gived 18-20miles too.

This is a great video thank you. what size bearings are you using for replacements scratch that I just seen the description 🤣
I noticed my hub motor is slipping will changing the bearing have any positive effect
It felt like a new bored when I changed my ones, thanks for watching and good luck with the fix. 👍
So how do you get the bearing out of the hub side?

Before I go jumping in if I could ask, what could be causing the hub slip, I can't wrap my brain around it 😩
Not sure I understand what you mean.

What a pointless video
Yes thanks buddy, I know it was a bit pointless, but I couldn't find a video of yours.
