If anyone is wondering, this procedure applies to the 2002-2006 CRVs as well. I just did the oil pan gasket on my 2005 CRV from the garage floor with a few jackstands and jacks, and the subframe procedure is exactly the same 🎉✌️
Thanks for this video - best one I've found so far for the oil pan. I'll be working on the ground, and I was wondering if you could clarify if you're referring to jackstands or actual jacks supporting the subframe. With Jackstands I don't think I could lower or raise themin smooth increments like you do with the pole stands. Thank you again!
OK I did this, and I’m wondering what I could’ve broke. I had no code prior after one trip the next day check engine light came on reading P2647 Control unit:09 Status: Confirmed Rocker arm actuator A, bank 1 - actuator stuck on VTEC Oil Pressure Switch Circuit High Voltage The VTEC solenoid is only a year old, I will replace it tonight and put in a new one but I’m concerned that I’ve done irreparable damage. Any thoughts? What could I have broke?
+Michael Sackstein This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

Is there a diagram for the long and short pan bolts? The bolts were removed before we realized they were different lengths.

Did you use a paper gasket and rtv?
My oil pan bolt is strip in there and I'm kinda tight on cash to replace the pan. Can I have a shop retap the drain hole????
What makes it necessary to change the oil pan? Drain plug damaged?
