Unless I’m mistaken seems like you would of been better off with a LT 2 intake or a MSD and if you ported them even better. Test have been done that show 35-40 HP pickup on these intakes and the LT2 is $200 on RockAuto now you got to modify it a little bit but for the added HP it’s the cheapest option. Now if you do heads cam with a VVT delete with either these intakes your pushing 550hp or higher. I was going to do a Maggie 2650 on my 21 2ss I only got 1400 miles on it I mod it more than I drive it lol but I decided not to do the Maggie until I get a stage 2 head and cam from BTR then the Maggie Will really shine but yea tons on opportunities for different builds I do all the work on my Camaro it’s so much more fun. Peace 🐶
Lot of dyno tests in car and out as they tune shows most manifolds only help at 5,000 rpms and higher. So if you run the stock governor for max rpms, you might see a couple HP's. In my opinion if you have the LS3 intake already these are not worth the price. You can spend that money on head work or roller rockers and thicker pushrods to get about the same gains. Now this is according to those tune results on dynos like I said, so you may "feel" it where the dyno lacks in that department. Keep in mind a basic tune will increase throttle response as they take the delay/lag out in the software. My 55th gen with LS3 gained 23hp and 47ftlbs of torque with a basic Diablo tune (different topic, but I don't care for HP tuners as those credits add up quick) just running cold air intake and 91 octane.
LSXR 102 with long runners is the best street intake IMO, I’m using a mildly ported one on an LS3 with. Small cam and the snap response is so much fun.
The bulge is the eletric actuator motor. It didnt come with the bbk throttle body. I hade to take it off the stock and put it together. I'm not sure if after market throttle bodies come with the eletric actuator but this one did not.
First I wish you all the best, can you tell me what is the set up on your car and how much did you gain after switching to fast lsxr or there is any increase in your rwhp
Absolutely. So I gained about 15hp and 10tq if I remember correctly it could have been more but my current setup on my car is the lsxr intake manifold with a 102mm bbk throttle body, accell coil packs and Taylor plug and wires, exhaust is a full racing JBA system with long tube headers, internal engine is a gpi ss 2 cam shaft with forged pushrods, roller lifters, michigan motorsports rocker arms and double valve springs from brian tooley. All this combined puts down on the dyno to the wheels of 530hp 495tq
Where did you buy your mddd braided fuel rail lines. I have the same fuel rails and lsxr intake but I don’t know where to buy the fuel line mod lines. Thanks for the video. I just bought the new lsxr 102 mm intake to install on 5th gen 2012 SS
Hello Nancy, The braided line came from William Oil company in Tacoma Washington. Usually a hydraulic manufacturer or heavy equipment company makes custom lines. In my case William oil company was a heavy equipment repair shop that made special lines for CAT/ John Deer/ PAPE and other equipment. Its not something your going to find online for sure so checking out a shop like this one should help with what you need. It ran me about $70 to be cut and fitted with the proper fittings. Make sure to bring your stock one in for sizing as the new line does not flex as much due to better quality. I also had them make the fuel line that attaches to my rails from the feed line on the said of the engine. I realized the line that came with this manifold was terrible and cheap and very thin so good thing your looking into swapping it out. Hope this helps.
I did. I looked for aftermarket motors that may be a different shape or size and didn't really find anything. Also, the dealer swears up and down this wasn't possible, but it is and works just fine. After driving with it for a few years, it never was an issue.
Actually it did not work because the power steering pump was in the way. But in short terms you are correct a circle is a circle and will work in the same way
@@danderson200 I didn't think about that. On my 2.3 Maggie setup it work but the throttle body was mounted higher. I'm switching to a procharger with a fast intake and Nick Williams 102 throttle body hopefully that will clear the pulley. Would a smaller diameter tensioner pulley help with clearance?
@@jaimeedwards1269 I didn't switch the pully because it was a matter of the throttle body being further out because of the intake manifold. I mean ot works for now even with that small clearance. Reving the engine and slamming through gears doesn't seem to make it rub so I'm actually not to worried. Just looked really weird after installing. Deffently raised concerns but after few years of being on the car and no damage I've stopped worrying about it.

Great video. Very informative! Thank you.

I went with the 2015 Camaro SS belt tensioner and pulley and changed the belt

Yeah I kept the long runners with a gpi ss2 cam and it's perfect for that get up and go.
Most of that comes from a tune.
Check out the jet performance throttle body. It doesn’t have that bulge sticking out from the side. May give you more clearance.

Did you swap the servo motor for the throttle from stock throttle body?
I did. I looked for aftermarket motors that may be a different shape or size and didn't really find anything. Also, the dealer swears up and down this wasn't possible, but it is and works just fine. After driving with it for a few years, it never was an issue.
I have the same intake and my Tensioner pulley rubs on the throttle body
It's a fitment game. I had to loosen and re tighten the intake and throttle body until I had a small gap
did you have any fitment issues with the oil pressure sender with this manifold ?
No I did not
How was the turn on process the first time putting everything in?
The car started just fine. Just needed a tune. Nothing was Rubbing on anything
I'm sure you found out by now but you can flip the throttle body You have to extend the harness but it works the exact same

Canyon use the stock injectors or need spacers??
Stock injectors work just fine. They snap right in and the fuel rail fits right on top
How much power gain over ls6 intake approx
I honestly have no idea
How much power extra hp did you gain purely by this using this intake over stock ls3?
12 to 15 no problem
From the intake where is the evap system plug into?
there are ports on the side of the intake manifold that the evap system plugs into just behind the throttle body
@@danderson200 im doing a gbody ls swap do u think the evap system applies to me?
@@richwil5281 probably not. You can delete the evap system if it's a problem
Can ls6 fuel rail work fast lsx intake manifold?
Stock rails won't work. Better to get the rails with the intake manifold
Where did you get your strut bar from?
Summit racing
Why does your map sensor move when you touch it...?
Because the original O ring that is on the map sensor is not 100% big enough to fill that gap and had to be replaced with a slightly larger one
@@danderson200what part number would that be? By chance
You still have less power than the stock intake
How’s that true?
