I think you've got your work cut out with this project, as there's so many passenger lines, and various bypass lines and loops etc. and the famous "Lancashire Triangle" around Leigh, that have gone from around the Wigan area, before you get to the vast number of coal pit lines that branched off them, and others like the sidings on Worsley green etc. You can still see the impressions of the sleepers in the grass at Worsley green today.

Really interesting brings back memories of the time working at John Pit and surrounding area, now 92 years old, a different world.
My dad started at John Pit in 1949. Moved to Dairy Pit in 1951.
