Thanx. I’ve tried it. It is not about the flip-open box. To work, the confetti launcher needs the cartons there that keep it ready to launch, not moving, and right to fit the gap between the confetti launcher, lid and the inside gift or cartons as in this example.

the plastic I used in the video is just from random plastic packaging I found around the house. It's pretty common but you can try looking specially in kitchen area :)
Hmm...Here's an idea...You can try adding the 'confetti launcher' on the side of the box only if it's deep enough to fit, so as the person taking out the item inside the box, the confetti will launch. Hope this makes sense.
