I've been fighting depression for the past three years, I've been getting better, but today depression dropped a ton of bricks on me. I started writing (my coping mechanism) and God reminded me of this song. God has brought me through so much, and if He's called me into this depression spike, He's going to bring me out of it. This song really has been helping me lately. God bless anyone who finds hope in the Cross. God loves you!

OMIGOD THEY'RE A RELIGIOUS GROUP?!?! Okay so I work at a daycare that's connected to a church so they're somewhat religious, but the only music they can listen to icludes kids bop, disney, and religious music and this song comes on ALL THE TIME.And I loved this song because it's beautiful and I love the main singers vocals. Well, my boyfriend just recently introduced me to "watching for comets" and "saviors of the world" and I went searching for the album and THIS SONG IS ON THE SAME ALBUM! Idk I guess I just wouldn't have assumed they were on the same album, but as soon as this song started playing I got super excited and now I'm really interested in the rest of Skillets music and I'm just very happy 😁

Haha, glad you like skillet! I'm not really a religious person but I love all of their songs. Religious or not, they are all amazing! You should look up their other albums. All just as amazing as this one!

So you didn't know before they were Christian? Their songs all sing about God, minus songs like Lucy which was dedicated to John Coopers unborn daughter. Comotose sings about God breathing life into you, Hero(God) Awake and alive is about God making you feel alive. If you pay attention to their lyrics its not hard to tell.
I heard this song on the radio one day while I was in the car. I was like " Is this... Skillet?" I looked it up on TH-cam when I got home and here it was. Amazing song. Definitely 5 stars for me

I love skillet so much! and their messages too.
I had been suffering from depression for five years. (It felt longer) one day I just broke and I found myself standing on the edge of a river. I stood there for hours asking God to give me a sign on whether to live or die. I remembered exactly 10 years before this event this same river nearly had taken my life, but I did not give up with out a fight, but at this moment I had no strength left to fight this hell I was in. When it was the fourth hour I was prepared to jump, but then my cousin (who I rarely ever talk to) came. He told me to come over and hug him. It took a minute, but I finally found a new strength and I went over to him and hugged him. When we broke our hug a yellow butterfly passed our way.
That's amazing! That's why that we should remember that God is ALWAYS by our side and that He loves us more than we can ever manage. So, never give up when it does seem hopeless because God won't give up on us!
Hope your depression has settled down now.

Amen, I struggle with anxiety and this song really reminds me that God is always with us. He is my protector and will calm the storm inside me. To anybody else who struggles with anxiety and depression, God loves you and wants to ease your burdens.

Stars are moving really fast and they ex-/implode eventually... They are not fixed, not at all "in place". Only, if you watch the big picture. While moving, somehow still in harmony. So, even if my heart feels restless, driven and diverged, it still yearns to be calm and somewhat in harmony with everything and while listening to music (like yours), it does. Yeah, most of their songs are Christian, but just don't outright say God or Jesus. Out of Hell, Feel Invincible, Hero, they're all talking to Jesus. It's a clever way to witness - people listen to the cool music, but as they get deeper into the band and lyrical meaning, God speaks to them more and more in HIS beautiful way. God bless!
