I did the Welsh Coastal Path last year, and whenever i watch a video of someone else doing it, my feet start to ache, my knees begin to throb, and my hips start to feel like drill bits are being inserted 😅 the one bit of advice id give to anyone doing the walk, whether young or old is to make damn sure you take walking poles and use them, those steep ascents and descents are murder without them, especially on the way down. Some of the steps are in a very gnarly condition and can be up to a foot in height and can very, very slippy in damp wet weather.
The stretch of coast between Freshwater East and Angle is probably my favourite piece of coast in the UK, hope you enjoyed it too. Fresh East, Barafundle, Broad Haven South, West Angle Bay are all fantastic. It's also worth diverting into Bosherston for the Lily Ponds when on the Stackpole Eastate.
A more industrialised day 2 towards the end but stunning views along the coast. It is worth the money to get the gear charged and a bed for the night. 22 is the most I've ever done, and I was dead on my feet. Mind you, I was 61 when I did that. I'm really enjoying this series, Sam. Thanks for sharing.
Love yr videos full of energy positivity and humour. Started my Pembrokeshire coast journey last week on our family’s week holiday based in Tenby, going to take a couple of years to complete though. I wonder how many journeys you’ll make in that time 😅
You're a brilliant man, Sam. Loved your TA videos as a New Zealander. Loving more that you have continued on in your journey to k eep on walking. Be true.
Hi Sam absolutely loving your video of the Pembrokeshire coast path as it reminds me of all the years and lovely holidays I spent down there I think I know it better than anywhere. Lovely views and beaches you have done a great job so far and looking forward to the next episode thank you for filming it for everyone good luck and as a new subscriber shall look to enjoy your next adventure well done.👍
Brilliant Sam fully enjoyed this one, those little bays look amazing. The campsite looked spot on to I'll jot that one down for future use 😊. Cracking stuff keep up the great work
Absolutely loving this series. Sam you make me giggle some of the things you come out with 🤣thanks as always for making this vid. you have inspired me to do something like this myself one day😊
Great video Sam been looking forward to this! Your insta shorts have gotten me back into hiking but i love these deeper dive longform videos, really get a feel for the experience. I really want to do the PCP now, but i can only spare a week off, would you recommend just doing the stretch from Milford Haven to St. Dogmaels? Worried about missing the southern section and wondered which part of the walk you rate the most?
Hi mate! Thanks a lot! So day 1 and 2 from amroth to angle are amazing, id skip from angle to Milford haven… it’s hard because it’s all so nice… Then maybe just hike from Milford haven as far up as you can get in the time you have…
