Its historical city center, which flourished during the 17th and 18th centuries, still proudly showcases its ancient wooden buildings, giving rise to charming, narrow streets.
Among the architectural treasures, you'll discover the oldest wooden building in Kurzeme, erected in 1670, located near the Town Square. Adding to the town's rich heritage is the Old Town Hall, a majestic structure dating back to the 17th century. Throughout history, the Town Square has served as a vibrant gathering place for the townspeople.
This tradition has stood the test of time, as the beating heart of the town can still be felt in the central square. It continues to be a hub for weavers' exhibitions, traditional festivities, and various captivating events that breathe life into Kuldīga's vibrant community.
