Soaps are nothing (in the producers/writers/sponsors minds) without tension...and "happily ever after" has no tension. Like it or not, Ste is too old and comes with too much baggage, for young Harry. I'd like to see Harry find someone closer to his age, but stay with the show. Much as Ste pisses me off most of the time, JP is the guy he needs. I'll give Ste this much: he did the right thing for Harry by sending him off - even though he really wants him to stay. I credit JP's influence on the typically selfish and fickle Ste for that.

The uncertainty drives me crazy too, but I really hope Starry gets back on track. Young Harry just has to stick it out and remember he loves Ste. Yes, Ste is making it really hard for him but I think Starry has a huge potential for the future. It'll take a while for Ste to realize that being with Harry is his best choice; these kids gonna realize they have something really special.

I feel like if Brendan had not gone to jail and stayed with Ste, that Ste and Doug would've gotten divorced, and they never would have been in the situation for Doug's death. But I do agree that since Brendan did go to jail, Doug's death was the final thing that broke Ste for good

this is old but i’ve always shipped john paul and ste together. now that harry’s dead they should really give things another go once john paul sorts his alcohol addiction out. james & ste don’t work together and they have no chemistry so idk why the writers are trying to force it when they could just put john paul and ste back together.

Every time I listen to Harry say stuff like that I laugh so hard, he really wants to be a father to 3 kids, be with a drug addict and better himself for one person other than himself at 18. You really remember hes just a teenager, I cant believe John Paul gets sucked into that instead of remembering when he was that age and he thought hes life would be perfect if he could just be with Craig.
