Super camera work! Great shots! The grey day and the sparse foliage highlighted the rail footage. Combine that with the audio, which was great in stereo, and it was a very enjoyable 14+ minutes. Thank you! But it must have been cold! I kept wanting to put on thermal underwear!
Those double deckers are such ghastly looking monstrosities! Oh well they're needed. It always tripped me out how the motorman can operate a nonpowered unit in a push configuration. I still haven't gotten used to that. it still looks odd to me. I would love to drive an ALP-46. I think it would be the experience of a lifetime
The mystery of American commuter rail. The non standardized platforms, Some high, some low, different length. Semi electrified lines having to use both diesel and electric trains. Can anyone explain?
It's an old PA RR line. Basically built for summer traffic. People didn't start to live year round in many of these communities until the 60's. Money is a big part & politics. It's taken forever & still not finished but it's something.
Great video footage of the N. Jersey Coast Line.
@dwkcamman611 Thank you! For my first time up there, I was pleased with my footage! I can not wait to go back again in the summer.
Way back when Flashing Ditchlights was a thing
yeah, i wish they still used them. i wonder why the stopped. the horn sounds great at 2:39 and 12:31.
+Main Line Productions I think it was a certain standard that wasn't needed anymore
Bigmindcreator is just a name I really liked when njt used ditchlights why dont they any more
Can you get a shot of a train going through the Route 35/Broad Street railroad crossing?
Beautiful video! I hope you dont mind i used a clip of the alp44 in a short mashing it with a video i took of its current state
@NJTJake Nov. 8th, 2010 was the date in which this was taken.
Oh yeah, and I was planning on doing this for the NJT Morris And Essex line! Seems you beat me too it lmao!
@wasy35 The raw power, speed, size, mass, sounds, all make up this awesome machine that is just cool to watch.
Great Work! Only complaint is, you skipped Manasquan Station.

What kind of camera did you use at the Red bank Station??

The same one I used throughout the whole video.
Doesn't NJT use GP-38's on some trains?
How come trains are fascinating?
@GenesisSanctuary You're right, they have so much more style to them than a commuter toaster! It's just not the same!!
Great!

Trains were probably going to Hoboken or Newark.
