Harriet Tubman, Rosa parks, Martin Luther King Jr. and my great, great, great grandfather Malcolm X are the reasons why I’m the man I am today. A black African American man that has freedom, and strength. I love how strong my people were. My people love who are, never stop being you for nobody.

An inspiring thing about her was even though she had to hide to stay alive, she never gave up. She kept going and she trusted God.

I got sooo emotional watching the movie I literally got sick my stomach was in a knot started hurting so bad I had to pause the video but just thinking of the strength and courage of this black Queen Harriet Tubman gave me the strength to continue watching to the end. Yes I say there's plenty of frigging reasons to hate white people.

It didn't help that African chiefs willingly and regularly sold members of their own tribes into slavery. No mention of that in the "black history" books.
These type of things make me cry because my people were treated like this just because of their color! I’m glad that Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Martin Luther King Junior. Was born in this world. Because if they weren’t then we would still be in slavery by now. So I’m grateful I’m grateful they were here. And I’m grateful to be black I’m grateful for this world I’m grateful for the men and women that helped slaves get to freedom I’m grateful for the color of my skin! I love her I love them!

Am touched by this short movie. I've watched several black movies on slavery and segregation ever since I was a boy back in the 90's in India. Am now writing from my home country Tanzania. I love history, esp black history. I pray that God will continue to shelter our brothers and sisters in the US and other parts of the world. "Someday we'll all be free" when Jesus comes.

These people were so mean😭
And yet, after the Civil War that liberated slaves,. thousands went back to their plantation and begged to be taken in. They were treated better there than when they were freed.

The civil war didn’t free all the slaves, There was a few hundred slaves unfreed in kentucky

No chance of freedom whether you possessed legal documentation stating one's liherty . denied everything that was just..I don't think I could have lived in that time span I wouldn't have been able to tolerate it. Either die remaining in that condition or die fighting for ones freedom I salute her a woman of integrity .wisdom bravery, and the bittersweet taste of freedom That she refused to allow.it to loose its flavour from her lips. @@nicolesright4800 I remember that in the book I read about her. She cursed him with death in hot anger oneday, and he died shortly after. She felt bad about it later. It is Testament to her godly heart, that she felt bad about it, given that he was a cruel tyrant.
Poor little girl 6 years old and taken off her mother to be starved and whipped in a big mansion because she didnt know how to be a maid. Shed never been in any kind of house except the 1 room with mud floor and she was expected to know how to polish silver, lay the table, etc etc. No bed at night, cold concrete floor, no blanket. Ate leftovers. Oneday a woman who was a friend of the woman who did the bullying, told her off for whipping the little girl, so Harriet was taken back to that louzy, poky little 1-room (but which was home to her!) She was in a fever for a while and her Mama helped her get well. How it hurt to read of that episode in her life. Six years old!!
How happy she was to be back with her Mama and Papa!!
