Another wonderful podcast, Alizeh. Keep up the good work. Here in India, the wedding industry is growing exponentially at 25-30%, and the average range of wedding costs is 20 lakhs to 5 crores. My mother and I were discussing how simple weddings used to be in the 90s and early 00s. But now, in the era of social media, where everyone is putting on a performance to display higher social status, people are literally spending a quarter to half of their entire life's income on weddings. I recently attended a wedding where literally 100+ food dishes were served, and I was shocked.

The thing is don't get influenced if you don't want to become bankrupt. Keep it simple and no need to serve 100 dishes, keep 4 dishes . Don't feel pressured k log kya kahenge.

As more and more women become educated and financially independent (Excellent news), they are not tolerating verbal disrespect and physical violence from their husbands and in-laws, which are two of the biggest reasons for divorces right now, alongside many others such as extramarital affairs, lack of intellectual, emotional, and sexual compatibility, financial disagreements, unhealthy addictions etc.

True the kind of trauma previous generation of Pakistani women had to go through is astonishing

Modern Educated women themselves choose the most abusive and toxic male as their partner while treating the nice guy as a doormat.😂😂

This is my first time watching your content and I loved this episode! Alizeh, you speak so well and your voice is so soothing. I lovee TWSF's work and been following them regularly since 2016 and was super excited to hear from Waheed!
I don't live in Pakistan but from what I see on social media I always wonder how are Pakistanis throwing grand weddings in this economic state? It's quite confusing to see such luxurious weddings; on the other hand, the country is like falling apart... Personally, I agree with Waheed and think the show off NEEDS to end: never-ending and continuous events, extravagant decor, luxurious outfits, and so on. Your wedding should be unique and should truly define your love within your budget, why copy others? Tips to those brides that want to go 'viral' is that it should not be an intention but just stay unique and yourself during your wedding, and you will create an impactful moment in a way you might not even think of! What I love about TWSF's work is the cinematic feel and audio used in teasers and highlight videos; it really makes the moment dreamyyy. Testimonials and bts footage gives it a personal touch.
On another note, the location and video quality were aesthetically pleasing but the camera on Waheed kept blurring. And would love to see Alizeh's mehndi video :)

Great podcast. Very important topics touched.
I feel if one is creative and at the same time simple, he/she can manage a beautiful wedding. We don't necessarily need to spend so much money to get a beautiful outcome.
