    🔥🔥 wish I could speak yoruba perfectly but at least I can understand it well. My mum spoke to us in Yoruba but didn't force us to reply her back in it. But I'm practicing and speaking it more now though cause i want to be able to speak it to my children. Yoruba is so beautiful 💙

    This is an amazing video, as a 1st gen that grew up here, and trying to teach my twins the language this break down helps as I only heard it and repeated phrases and never knew the breakdowns because it was never written. My responses at parties were always from a bank of phrases I had remembered in situations as correct.
    Thank You!

    This is great and for some reason by the tone and demeanor I could picture you saying this to your kids one day lol. As well as making sure they dubule/postrate and kneel for the elders.

    thanks for the video Blessing! do you have nicknames for children in yoruba?

    • @jonralph8843
      @jonralph8843 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely. They are more of praise names than nicknames and they are called oríkì in Yoruba. There's hardly any Yoruba child that doesn't have an oríkì.
