With a passenger, that is pretty impressive! I managed to get my 1997 tercel with the FE 5E engine up to 170 fully loaded with my tool set. I could have gone faster but the corner was coming up fast!
Miss mine...it was a good car. I bought it used with 24,000 Miles on it. Kept it for 6 years . It broke down one time - needed a new starter. Love me some Toyotas.
I just bought a manual 96' toyota paseo and I'm not ashamed to say that the main reason I bought it is to say: "I got a 96' toyota paseo in the parking lot, let's get out of here."
I miss my little Paseo... It is strange, I remeber I can reach the 200 km/h easly and more... I have witnesses that confirm this. But I bought it as an used car and I don't know what they did on that little motor... I loved it, and I am really sorry I gave it away for free... Damn.
I have a 96 Paseo and it passes a little the 200 mark, then in shuts the injection off around “205/210Km/h”. The only thing I’ve done, is a bad welded cat off...
I had a '96 Paseo and a lady I worked with from Germany said she had one there. She said the two Paseos were not created equal and the German version was supposed to be much faster. From this video, they appear to be very similar. Mine topped out at 110 (USA MPH with automatic transmission). Great little car. Wish I still had it for a daily commuter.
I find it strangely fun watching videos like these - the Autobahn must be a blast. I'd love to take my '00 A6 out on those roads, really open up the throttle a bit and let her fly.
and they're still 100x better than the idiots i deal with in toronto. they at least moved out of the way EVENTUALLY. when i drive on highway 401, there are 4 lanes. transport truck drivers will hog 3 of those 4 lanes going extremely slow, then cars all go into the remaining left lane. there will always be one idiot refusing to move over to let anyone pass. meanwhile cops sit by and do nothing about it because that would actually make the road safer and more efficient, which would make it harder for them to generate revenue for the city
Nice run. It's a very fast car, considering the displacement and power, due to its lightweight and aerodynamic. You should have rev it to a higher rpms, because that engine actualy start to gain power after 4500rpm, especialy in 3rd and 4th gear. Nevertheless, it was a fun drive, and great video. I'm glad you pick that car for a video. Keep up the good driving. =)
Thank you very much! It has now about 250000 km and i still own my 96 Paseo. I could never sell it. That is why i might have treated it more gently than i would have done with some other car. :-)
You're welcome. My now has 260,000 + km and still pulls like crazy. I serviced it regularly, change all fluids and filters, belts, etc, and it never let me down, no matter how long drive it is. I ride mostly gentle, in the city, but sometimes I press the throttle pedal fully, and make it to the high rmp, on the highway. Although this isn't my only car, I wouldn't sell it for anything.
I have just read your comment again and thought man why didnt i reply to you. Sorry. Absolutely true my friend. With regular maintenance this thing will be one of the most reliable cars you can find. I bonded so much with it that some day i am going to take it apart and redo it completely. In 9 years it will be considered an historic car in Germany. ;)
You can make it quicker too. I put an lower and upper grille block on mine which upped the top speed to about 205. Rear wheel aero covers did about 10kmh more than that. Too silly to drive around with, the wheel covers anyway. The grille blocks i only leave in winter, need em open for summer.

I have done it a couple of times. It is tricky at first but easily doable once you know what to do. At first you need to dismantle all of the plastic parts beneath the steering wheel (in the footwell) and those around the steering column. After you have those parts out of the way you need to reach up from the footwell to behind the speedometer and detach the speedometer cable. Then you can wiggle the whole speedometer out to the front. It tightly squeezes out of the steering wheels side. Of course there are a couple of screws you need to loosen but you'll notice which ones.
Aivery Cardinal/Broly Two reasons - the Autobahn, from my understanding, has an exceptionally high limit (or none at all), and drivers in Germany tend to be on the more experienced side compared to many other nations around the world. The driver training process and the process to getting a license there is far more reasonable there, and allows for far fewer incompetent hazards on the road. In addition, German inspections and such (again, from what I gather) are far more thorough and rigorous than say American inspections. So given the combination of laws/rules, good driver experience, and thoroughly maintained vehicles, it's safe to travel at high speeds there, usually without too much worry. But hey, I'm American, so don't quote me on that stuff, that's just the kind of stuff I hear from word-of-mouth. I live in Massachusetts and our "inspections" and Driver's Ed programs are an absolute joke. There are so many imbecilic, inexperienced drivers on our roads, our roads are very poorly maintained compared to some surrounding states, laws and fines tend to be very lenient, speed limits are quite low, and there are many, many hazardous scrap heaps driving on our roads due to pointless inspections that don't actually do anything.

+Supercharged Magazine ahh oki danke😅
Can that get an 7a-fe 1.8cc and nobody knows it ?
4e-fte.
RPM @ 70mph / 112kmh?
Why do people drive so fast on those highways?
cus they allowed to
Aivery Cardinal/Broly Two reasons - the Autobahn, from my understanding, has an exceptionally high limit (or none at all), and drivers in Germany tend to be on the more experienced side compared to many other nations around the world.
Is the Paseo a sportscar?
Well, I would not call it a sports car. I think of it more as a sporty subcompact car.
@@SuperchargedMagazine gotcha
@6pan very
Ebay Kleinanzeigen

Fwd
ogrzewanie tylnej szyby wyłącz ,może lepiej pójdzie :P
Toyota love🍀 car
Still on the roads ;)
Bela nave! Parabéns!
I have the same car with 4 gear gearbox manual and go 120km with sacond gear!!!its 1996 13 liter
