- The forward position doesn't have the biggest list of names to choose from this off-season. That isn't the case with defensemen. And with the Colorado Avalanche needing to fill spots for their 3rd pairing, they have a laundry list of guys they could bring in. But like with any signing, it needs to be the right guy and right fit.

My top 8 NHL logos gotta be...
1.) Avs/ edit: nordiques.same team (technically) so it counts as one lol.
2.) I hate em but... red wings
3.) Calgary
4.) OG ducks
5.) Dallas...I like the shade of green they have...thats it.
6.) Rangers
7.) Buffalo's alternates are pretty sweet.
8.)I guess the wild. Don't really see them as a rival as the state of Minnesota is allergic to winning so...yeah. I'll say I like they're logo
And then hot take but...Seattle's logo...bit overhyped. I just dont like the colors. If they flipped that blue to a similar shade of red and made the eye a deep blue I might like it more.

@@LockedOnAvalanche lol, I get that. I was thinking of their fire horse alternate as to me it seems reminiscent of the broncos. Fire horse meet fire horse. Although ill admit wasn't a big fan of it until I saw it on a black jersey. But after thinking about it I'd switch Rangers and flames.

It's a games played thing for me
Kraken logo is top notch. The branding overall was really well executed by Seattle, even down to their secondary mark using an anchor and Spaceneedle. People talking about loving the Wild logo have no sense of design or taste. They are truly the minority and should keep their opinion to themselves hahaha.
Other than that this episode was so depressing. You people can continue to believe this pipsqueak brigade is going to win, but I don't think they ever will. It took balance for Avs to get past round 2. When the blue line is all 5'10 185 + under Tyson Barries who are soft beyond all recognition, and rely on cute passing, I KNOW the Avalanche GM hasn't learned dick from the winners of the Stanley Cup. The model according to Elliotte Friedman is long, big, mean mobile Dmen. This team has NO BALANCE AT ALL! Hyper offensive and weak. Manson is going to have to work overtime on defense. This backend is nothing but a good regular season defense (and planning to pile on more of the same sized little guy). They'll never survive 4 rounds of playoffs (and proved that yet again unable to get through 2OTs). It's so depressing watching MacFarland waste 2 years already because he thinks he's going to outsmart what wins.
I'd be out there trying to trade away baby Girard for someone like Luke Schenn (NSH) or Gudbranson (CBJ) and money. OR I'd be looking at Brenden Dillon (WPG) or Hakanpaa (DAL) out on UFA market. Use that $5M to get a few effective guys that are real men, instead of one very little dman who lacks any offensive ability. GET SOME DEFENSE!

For sure they need defensive depth. They cannot continue to play Makar 25+ minutes a night.
on Malinski's left side, I feel like Caleb Jones can be the 7th guy w one of several starting options: Kylington, Aho, or wait to see who's around in August for a league min deal. Behrens can grow into that position over the season.
