I'm deeply convicted... I have lots of debt even to my sister. Because she's my sister, i tend to overlook my debts to her. I feel so wicked. What a wicked attitude.
I'm wicked too. I own my mom alot of money from credit card debt fixing my car and buying shoes and everything. I paid her some back. But I own her so much more
Biblical wisdom 🙌🏾 🙏🏽 ✝️ We just live in a society buy now, pay later. We have to fight that. He is so right it's just greed and living within our means.
If you get in an agreement, you're oblidged to conform. If you borrow money from family member no matter how small, have it written down and sign it. This way will save everyone from forgetting the amount or misunderstanding its a gift. Hi, a Muslim liked this video.
I am in a situation with my student loans where I was lied to in the beginning. I have now paid back over $20,000 more than I borrowed and I still owe way more than I have ever paid.
When I was young, foolish and mentally ill I ran up over $100,000 in unsecured credit card debt. I have religious OCD and don't have impulse control. To me, money was just figures on a page. I was out of touch with reality and declared bankruptcy. God allowed the Israelites to be debt free every 7 years and have their land returned to them on the year of jubilee. All authority comes from God and that government has passed laws that allow people to declare bankruptcy and become debt free. Does taking bankruptcy make me WICKED and ineligible of inheriting the kingdom? Lost, can't be saved? Would your mind change if I take or had taken bankruptcy again?
Maybe because i grew in a country where i saw people (Including my parents) have to earn money to eat And afford basic necessities I see here people living luxuriously and often not really earning those “things” I can’t see myself not earning my bread and not working hard for what i own
Thank you Pastor for this. Convicted to start stewarding and acting with integrity. This is where fear on approaching comes in but we release the sting of rejection
Contrast the mindset he refers to from the 20:07 to 20:12 time stamps, with what Philippians 4:10-13 teaches us. And by the way, what he is teaching here also matches up in congruity with what Dave Ramsey teaches. Godly contentment is a powerful and divine thing. Praise Jesus Christ.
Excellent! Mahalo. I'm convicted. This made me search my own heart about greed. I was ignoring something that God was not ignoring if you catch my drift
The problem I have with this answer, is that the banks and credit card companies (money changers) are not actually loaning their own money, they’re literally creating it out of thin air. On top of that, using predatory lending practices. I don’t believe that is the same kind of de t that you borrowed from family or a friend.
I appreciate that he starts by talking about borrowing between people with relationships, like friends, family, or church. That's clearly the primary intent of Psalm 37 v 21. But excommunicating people for credit card debt (which he mentions at 16:38) seems pretty wrong to me. I disagree with that position. I could understand if it kept a person out of a position of church leadership, though.
At the 11:06 point: bingo. But we have a society with a culture now that teaches excuse-making, even when you have the money and are perfectly capable of repaying it on time. And at 18:09, his response (to the lady’s comments who was off camera) should shock and wake up any thinking Christians (and immediately discourage them from wanting to buy pretty much anything, on credit) who believe what God says in his word, which she cited.

This is common sense. People shouldn't be dealing with people who are shady and you yourself should repent if borrowing too much that you can't pay back. Work hard pay back your debts.
Well we have paid everyone's war debts down within years and sent our money to other nations. So we suffer here, but this excess on "interest" is the bad situation, as the money changers took the Gold and did fractional banking.then after keeping that Gold charged interest on the paper left !!!!!
What do you do when your husband puts you into debt and you are forced to be bankrupt? You tried to do all you could but divorce wasn’t an option. So you had to go over the falls and end up shipwrecked...again. Putting this on my list and am interested in what this video covers.
Well, the first thing that must be answered is whose name is the debt in? Is it in your ALL CAPITAL letters name? That name is your US 14th amendment citizen, or you US taxpayer. Under the Constitution we must pay our debts with gold coin, since they removed the gold coin we can not pay any debt under Constitutional law. All debts must be discharged through proper set off. I am already living in a caravan and have nothing left but am constantly begged for money by online beggars..what do I do?
From your brief note it sounds like the "so many other people asking me for money" are situations that you should say no to, especially if by giving them money it is only increasing your personal debt. You say they are people "begging for money by online beggars" -- it is one thing to have a close family member need help with rent, but to have someone ask for money online, who knows how verifiable it is on what they are going to use that money for. And if you say no to giving someone money and they try to manipulate you into feeling bad...just remember, by saying no you are seeking to get out of the debt... and the "lot of debt" you have should be something to feel conviction over. The Lord by calling you to obey him in one area (get out of debt) will not cause you to sin in another (by not giving to someone who asks). Hope this helps.

I disagree but I just have different moral standards. As long as I am not hurting anyone, a person, another human, I dont feel bad. I dont care about Verizons bottom line. I dont care about GE MONEY BANK or whoever 's bottom line. I would pay back debt to a family member or person but I don't care about big corporations. Period
If everyone choeses his/ her own standards of morality, probably someones' will change one day and chose not to pay back anyone at all. Following the book is safer, because Satan is round the corner.

To a point your right but to a point your not. I don't think God intended for corporate America to rip people off like they do
Debt isn't forced upon you. You agree to terms. Dont live outside your means. Save emergency fund for the unexpected. Then gift yourself and others.
