True definition of sad
for me, both versions are so good in their respective generations. BTS remakes it to their own style and nowadays hiphop but still retain the original sound and seo tae ji original version is so raw and unique and of course sound good for their generation. I salute that seo tae ji asked bts to remake his song because he knows that they can do it. I think they share the same value about people, that's why bts agree to do this cover despite their hectic schedule. Seo tae ji really has good eyes for talented young artists. Before this, he asked iu remaked his song "sogyeokdong" n she nailed it. Now he got bts and other talented artists like dean,etc.
BTS will be performing the song at Seo Taiji's concert in september!

It's Jin in the beginning, and you're right it's Jhope that did the part that sounded like him lol. And on September 2nd Seo Taji is having a concert and BTS will be performing there :) I'm really excited. Also I listened to the original and I really liked it, too. His voice is very unique but I think it still sounds good lol

I think they are. Seo Taiji is having a concert to celebrate and I think the artists that he selected to remake his songs are going to perform on stage with him. At least that's what I heard.
They'll probably do the choreo too but with their own BTS twist.

I totally get what you mean about the original being more raw and I prefer that sound too! BTS made their own version of it so ofc it's a different sound/vibe, but it still it turned out really good. I think both songs are good in their own way so it comes down to personal preference.

I've never heard of Seo Taiji until today but given the time period they were seriously channelling Cypress Hill with this song. It's massively "inspired" by Insane In The Brain.

I love both versions. The old one - because it reminds me of when I was a teen. It's fun to see that those awesome moves were worldwide! And the new one - because BTS. Obviously.

I enjoyed your reactions! Did you guys ever watch any of the videos from the Seo Taiji concert that was on September 2? If not, BTS was the only other performer I think. They were chosen by Seo Taiji himself to perform with him. The boys were so thankful that he took the time to personally teach them the choreo for his songs. I think you would enjoy the vids.

Have you guys ever heard of Cypress Hill's "Insane in the brain." I know that people have pointed out the similarities before, but c'mon its pretty obvious where Seo Taiji got his inspiration from.
A lot of Seotaji's music has been questioned to be plagiarized throughout his career. Especially his early works.
I'm surprised at how he hasn't got into serious trouble for it.
