You probably don't know, but at the beginning of Bts the company had no money and in order to make money they would work as backup dancers or backup singers for other more established artists. This was one way to make money to survive and of course Jin would buy lunches for the younger ones or prepared their school food and even drive Jk to both middle and high school.

@@AnthonyRay this was around the time when Suga had hurt his shoulder and he was scare that if he told they would let him go, so he continued to practice and go to whatever jobs they were sent to. I love these boys, I could be they're grandma yours too but I seen how hard they've had it for their art and it's tought me to never give up. Even in pain I Always get up.

Being a trainee, the company invests a lot of money in you and you learn stuff for free (unless you decide to end the contract, then you owe them money), without even be sure you will be good to debut sooner or later. It is usual practice to draw backup dancers, actors, singers from the pool of trainees of a company (but also cross-company).
See IIZY members in BTS videos, for instance. That's nothing to do with having or not money as a company (or individual).
still one of my favorite collab that they made to this day .. it's historical because Seo Taiji who basically influenced the IDOL industry has been quiet for many years until this anniversary [tho he's been producing some songs but not that active]. also it's the same year that BTS released Mic Drop and it's just so matching with all the outfits for both songs. out of all the covers/remake of this song, this one from BTS gives the original song justice all through out. And for Seo Taiji to pick BTS out of all the hiphop group from YG entertainment [which is the company that's founded by one of the members of Seo Taiji and the boys] to do a remake of this song and actually perform with him on stage, already says a lot about BTS' message, vision and passion for music and that Seo Taiji recognizes that♥
The two dancers of the Taiji Boys were recruited by Seo Tae-ji, the best professional dancer in Korea at the time. One dancer is Yang Hyun-seok, the head of YG agency that produced BLACKPINK, and the other is the best dancer Juno. They went their own way after the disbandment of Taiji Boys, but the two dancers lost their qualifications to be on the 25th anniversary stage again. This is because two had lost the authenticity of music and dignity as a Taijiboys. So on the 25th anniversary stage, Seo Tae-ji put BTS on the stage without calling them. He said BTS is the Taijibiys that connects him. Seo Tae-ji said that it is your time from now on. That was 2017.

This is during 25th Anniversary Seo Taiji Concert back in 2017. This is so important to us. This is when Seo Taiji, the founder of Kpop passed the batton to BTS to carry the legacy.

The other two members, Juno Lee and Hyunsuk Yang went their separate ways when the group split after this album (1995 I think). Juno tried to start his own business but didn't really succeed. Hyunsuk on the other hand, started YG Entertainment which is one of the big 3 entertainment companies in Korea. YG artists includes(d) some of Kpop's biggest stars such as Big Bang, Black Pink, 2NE1 etc. Taiji continued his solo work but he hasn't done a lot of promotions for his albums. I think you'll like Taiji's solo works, they're more hard rock than hip hop though. Taiji was a pioneer back then, experimenting with different types of genres and his 4th album was the 'rock and hip hop' album. His 3rd album was the 'metal, heavy rock' album. I really recommend 필승 (Pilseung) from STJ and boys, I think you'd like it. That was the song they promoted after Come Back Home.

A great stage and a great performance. J-Hope and Kooks dance in the very beginning was so smooth, I have noticed over time that the two can sometimes become flawless identical mirror images of each other, when they dance side by side like this - such a power duo:-)
You should also see their 4th Muster with this song being performed by BTS only. An absolute fire. Jin´s high note opening is absolutely magical and rappers swagger is something else. I fell in love with the song the first time I heard BTS perform it🙂
Suh Taeji told BTS that they can call him dad since he is their dad’s age but he looks way younger than his age and sound the same! Suh Taeji made a song for IU and they sang that song together at one of the award show before and that was awesome too! IU is the most popular and respected female solo artist in SK who has the “ Nation” title which means pretty much all SK know who she is and honored. She is very talented and writes, compose, and produce most of her songs and play several instruments such as guitar, drums, etc and the awesome actress also. She is the idol of all idols and JK at BTS is one of her die hard number one fan! You should check out IU, she covers many genre and always sings live and has her band too!

Check out the Seo Taiji 25th anniversary concert video....he actually performed 8 songs with BTS...and later credited BTS with much praise as his "sons" and successor.

"and Boys" = Yang Hunsuk is the CEO of YG entertainment. The other guy is Lee Juno, I'm not sure what he does now but he got into some legal troubles at one point and had to serve time in prison.
Seo Taiji was is a heavy metal rock band and met Yang Hunsuk when he wanted to learn to dance. "and Boys" were incharge of doing the choreography.

Bruh I've been waiting for this reaction and it's finally come. I got goosebumps again, the fact Seo Taiji chose BTS as his successors and they ran with it and proved to never falter and drop the torch til this day, it sends shivers. These are two Legends having a Legendary moment, and being a k-pop fan since '09 idk if there is a Legendary moment that compares to this, it's history that literally changed k-pop to where it was to where it is today, goosebumps.

Seo taiji is Legend of Kpop and Origin of Kpop , no doubt
Idk why I find him cute every time he gets all this shiny eyes and exciting face when he's talking about the boys, it feels like he's talking about his favorite movie all the time and he always looks so exciting about them, sharing with us each little thing he finds interesting about the lyrics or perfomances. I really like to watch your videos, I get as well exciting with everything about the guys just like you. Thanks for take your time and share this videos with us.
Fun fact: despite Taiji‘s young face, fact is, the guy is 50 and a LEGEND in the K-Pop world. He started making music in 1989 as a bassist of a rock band, and debuted his own group in 1992 with 2 dancers/rappers, one of whom was YG (as in YG Entertainment). He mixed HipHop/rap with Rock and EDM and sometimes even traditional korean music. This type of genre cocktail was unheard of at the time and he DOMINATED the K-Pop charts EVERYTIME they dropped a song. This was the beginning of modern day K-Pop and many other groups tried to follow his formula, but never quite got there.
Also, he basically wrote and produced ALL of their songs. His genre-mixing musical formula from 1992 STILL works to this day, as you can tell by the success of Blackpink.

I grew up with Taiji’s music. Youth memory had shaped with his songs. It’s really good to see him with BTS! I recommend watch original members dance as well (‘boys’). They are no longer dance anymore nowadays , however, their dance back in 90s…. Wow!
No one dances like them back in 90s. Detailed and mastered their own body movements.
This is still my favourite out of any of bts' collaboratations. The song was already a banger, but with them together it's awesome.

Thank you so much for this reaction! Now I know who inspired and paved the way for BTS. After watching this I found videos for the rest of that concert and they were awesome! I didn’t need to understand what the lyrics were, it was like watching the Korean version of what a collaboration of the Beastie Boys and Eminem would be like. I love that our guys were able to do this concert with Taiji, you can see the total respect they have for each other. Even if it is for your own enjoyment I highly suggest watching them, I think you’ll love them. Again, thanks for sharing this gem.

Actually this is a few years back and I believe was BTS's very first stadium concert. They practiced with Seo for a month for Time Traveler and Seo basically deemed BTS, which was still suffering from being maligned, as inheritors of the torch. I strongly recommend the performance of Classroom Idea from the Time Traveler concert. It is all BTS with Seo and Seo's rock/hip hop band jams.

Also "the boys" were not invited because they dont represent Seo Taji vision anymore. One of "the Boys" became the owner and CEO of YG (home of Big Bang, Blackpink, 2ne1) and we know how he turned out 🙄 legend has it he was upset that Seo Taji choose BTS over any of his group, and to add insult to injury Suga change the lyrics to his rap (Suga was doing his part) 🤣

Well, one of them started a small label called YG Entertainment in the late 90s and has a few little artists like Big Bang, Blackpink, 2ne1, (formerly) PSY (Gangnam Style) and the legendary hiphop trio Epik High, Jinusean, 1TYM (Blackpink’s producer Teddy’s former group), Stony Skunk (reggae/dancehall duo, one of whom is also a YG inhouse producer like Teddy), Mino (and his group Winner), Bobby (and his group Ikon), Somi, and many more.
YG started his label as a strictly HipHop label, but expanded by making boy/girlgroups that were heavily hiphop influenced, but had a little twist to their music.
The OTHER member of SeoTaiji also started his label in the late 90s, and he had a group called Young Turks Club, who had a bunch of hit songs for a lil while. But then the Young Turks started to fall off and he invested in a new group, which failed miserably. So yeah, the other member just disappeared from then on, while YG became a big boss in the K-Pop scene.
Seo Taiji he himself continued music for a while, going back to his roots in rock music. Now he lives a quite life in his mansion, never in the media, completely disappearing from the public eye. This thing with BTS was an exceptional thing. He disappeared after this concert again.

Think on this, one of Seo Taiji's "boys," YG, has his own idol company (one of the top 3) and Seo Taiji didn't pick any of YG's acts to perform with, but rather, chose BTS instead. Personally I think he did because (IMO) BTS's remake of the song has been the closest to the original and gives homage to Seo Taiji for his contribution to the Kpop industry and Korean music overall. I can't even tell you how hyped up I was when I heard about this collab and finally saw it for myself. This is the most iconic stages BTS has ever been on, which says A LOT given all their incredible stages through the years!
