I think the main fun of NASCAR is the claustrophobia of having 10 cars alongside infront and behind and trying to make a move while fighting oversteer/understeer and everyone trying to nudge you out

oval racing is harder than you think.
Non American drivers think it’s just so easy. Purposely wrecking people to get first place is not racing by any means. 🤣

As someone who prefers road racing. I can say from experience that ovals are way harder than people think. Road is still harder but ovals are not easy.
Old Nascar 2003 (iRacing's mom) player here. Absolutely agree. Very different strategies and styles of racing. Having to work with compettitors to get draft trains going on some tracks. and just how insanely close it all is.

Wreckfest oval racing is far superior...but this is still cool.

Indianapolis always looks like it has more banking than it really does in Forza.
I’m not sure but maybe carry less speed into the corner and use less lock to optimise the exit speed
U also had full fuel and I assume the ai use the number laps needed for the race

The forza AI has always been absolutely terrible on oval tracks. Embarrassingly bad. I was hoping they'd improve their pace with this update but it doesn't look like they have enough.
Still not as bad as they are on Lime Rock. Absolutely awful for me. The A.I. can't negotiate a single corner on that track for some reason, just go off into the grass and don't recover. Really wish Forza could adopt the A.I. system that GT7 uses.

I love Nascar in Forza so far, especially in Multiplayer it's so much fun. Sound of the cars is amazing!🥰
Big NASCAR fan here, but I’m a gt7 loyalist. I’ve been asking why gt7 doesn’t have just a plain old stock car since the game came out. But we can’t even get any information on a Christmas time update, so who am I kidding? Also, run the wall at Homestead, that seems to be the best line.

The AI is too spread out. They need to be pack running and working off of the movement of your car as well

Nascar has had terrible games for so many years now i mean i think the last really good nascar game was nascar 2015 maybe some say nascar 2011 and what Forza did with nascar in this game is so amazing it is the best feeling nascar game in over a decade i got forza just for it lol is it perfect no homestead needs a better tuning but man its such a great starting point

yeah by the looks very arcade, no tyre model, no cautions, NASCAR Heat 5 is way better
No tire model? You mean having 300 grip calculations per second in each of the 3 tire zones isn't a tire model? And tire telemetry can be viewed at any time. Forza isn't a perfect sim by any means, but it's physics calculations are objectively, mathematically closer to reality than NASCAR Heat ever comes close to being.
Like, Forza's physics model is so much more accurate and so much more sophisticated than NASCAR Heat that I'm genuinely wondering if you have any idea what a car is even supposed to behave like.
@@alondite215 because it does 300 grip calculations doesn't mean they are correct for a stock car, you see... when you screech your tyres on a bend in a NASCAR cup car they usually blow or the car looses grip and spins, just wondering if you have ever watched a NASCAR race
@Lisa-Azra_Broad These are the road course versions of Nascars, not set up for ovals. The camber is set up for road course. So the tires screeching may be more common
@@Lisa-Azra_Broad They're based on the exact same math that powers real-world physics. Physics do not change on an oval.
