    The issue is that this legendary off roader was designed to accommodate other markets in the globe which explains the lack of cargo room and big cupholders for the American clientele.

    If your planning on getting a lx570 for space im not sure whats going through your mind. Lexus is known for their small 3rd rows and now your complaining about a 115k car for space? Isn't this car mainly about luxury?

    Thank you for the honest review. I was seriously considering this vehicle as an upgrade to 2020 Acura MDX we have as third baby on the way but given the fact it has fewer features than my wife's MDX at twice the cost, it is not an option for us. To me at this point it is all about how many car seats we can get in with how much trunk space. And really Lexus at this price the second row seats should be able to slide back and forth, hell our 2018 MDX had that feature.

    Not everybody who buys this car has young children. Also, if you are spending this kind of money on an SUV, then go with a full size if you are concerned with space. I would rather order this model without the 3rd row spacing. Also reliability and resale value will be much higher with this car than a Cadilliac or Range Rover. Its ok at this price point. You could also compare it to a GMC Yukon AT4, which has a lot more space and really nice.

    • @TheBjjones
      @TheBjjones 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nonsense! The Toyota Land Cruiser/Lexus LX have always been categorized as a *full size* luxury SUV, Lexus just did a poor job with the LX600 interior ergonomics/space.

    What’s crazy is, the sequoia will have more trunk space, better options (rear view camera mirror, digital dash, power running boards, and all the reliability with maybe better styling? All for about 30k less. Why would anyone want the LX600 unless you truly want a 5 seater with floaty ride and extra quiet interior. That can, I guess go off road anywhere?

  • @sly9263
    @sly9263 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The problem with the LX is that it's a small, full-size SUV and overpriced by about $15-20k for what it is. The "new" model LX looks more like what the final refresh for the previous generation should have been. I agree with all of your complaints about the interior. The center stack is a travesty and looks like a mid-model run update. The 360 camera is poor quality. It's barely any bigger than the midsize GX, which you can get for $57-60k while the LX starts at $90k and quickly reaches $100k+ for any trim over the base model. I don't see $30-40k in value between those two vehicles... maybe $15-20k at most. The new LX is an updated, but still dated, $75-80k SUV being sold for $100k

    • @electrikoptik
      @electrikoptik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      The thing about the Land Cruiser or LX is that it's mostly bought by people that knows and appreciate the vehicles history, reliability/durability and off-road capabilities. Did you know that the Land Cruiser (LX) is the longest lasting car built? The Land Cruiser (LX) is number 1 out of top 15 longest lasting cars. To earn a spot on the Longest Last Cars list at least 2.5 percent of a vehicle must reach 200,000 miles. Just 1 percent of the average model gets to 200,000 miles, making every vehicle on this list at least two-and-half times more likely to hit that mileage benchmark. The Land Cruiser (LX) is number 1 with 18,2%, number 2 is Sequoia with 14,2% and number 3 is Chevy Suburban with 6,6%. From the top 15 list, 8 models are Toyota's. There are zero Acura's on the list. The LC (LX) is not for everybody. It's for the people that appreciate what I just said. The iconic and indestructible Toyota Land Cruiser is engineered to last at least 25 years, even under the harshest of driving conditions, as it is relied upon in many developing countries where off-road driving is the norm.

    • @ve2166
      @ve2166 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@electrikoptik I agree 150% on all those points except I have a friend who works for Lexus and he said most of his customers lease those vehicles. They aren’t leasing because they are planning on keeping 200k+ miles. It just didn’t fit my needs, I needed a usable 3rd row, that still had space in the back for luggage etc and my wife could drive comfortably. Really the lack of 3rd row space did it for me.

    • @electrikoptik
      @electrikoptik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ve2166 I understand. The vast majority of Americans will be happier with a crossover or monocoque SUV because it will drive and handle better off the road. The LC (LX) is for people that know and appreciate everything I mentioned about it before and are willing to live with the compromise.

I said that because in order to get kids out, they have to access through the front (at that time the extended cab doors didn’t swing out yet like the newer trucks). Did Lexus even watch your other tours? If they had, they should be expecting every one of these critiques.

      Lexus target customer for this vehicle doesn't watch her videos either, nor cares about car seat space. This vehicle is intended to replace to spot held by the Toyota Land Cruiser in the US market, an off road oriented luxury SUV

    Can you tour a Mercedes GLE or GLC? Also any info on the upcoming Mazda CX-70 and CX-90 for 2023?

    It’s a no go. Little cargo room for $100K. I’d go for loaded Sequoia or Tahoe.

    Surprised at how the space seems so similar to the smaller Lexus GX..... might as well save $50k and get one of those 🤣

      It’s actually almost the same exact dimensions as the current GX in head room and everything. The only thing different is you get about 2 more inches in width. The GX is definitely the better value…by far!!!

    yeah the LX is not a family car at all. Its for retired folk, or people who just want a Boss offroad vehicle thats also luxurious.
