Nice.. i travelled from Shanghai to yiwu city back 2013.. it's very strange for me to travel there cause i don't know yiwu was, and people are don't speak English. But it's fun and i was able to come back in Shanghai via train..

Make sure you stay in a hotel inside HONG KONG ISLAND instead of Kowloon, extremely iIMPORTANT, because Hong Kong Island is easier for American and European to navigate and get used to Hong Kong culture! Food is Amazing! Then you can explore Kowloon Peninsula later! Right now Hong Kong Island has the SECOND most concentrated Billionaires residents in the world right after Manhattan NYC! It is a very unique Asian city! Definitely it is worth it to visit and spend more time exploring Hong Kong!
@rubenvandewiele Gentle reminder: Visit Hong Kong anytime except mid-summer, which is extremely hot and humid, just like a steamer, even locals don't want to hang out and just want to stay in air-conditioned venues or go to the beach. December may be one of .the best times. as the Christmas decorations plus the diamond-like skyline are exceptionally stunning.

U need to check ur eyes when u say NO ppl there. And Yiwu is mainly for wholesale, retail customers don't usually go there, let alone on holidays. It's not about promote China.
