Thanks for sharing! Things have changed a lot, alot~, in the last few years. I am not sure if sourcing directly from Yiwu would actually give you any competitive advantages. Tons of manufactures are starting to sell online on Amazon. I plan to stop by for a few days to see it myself anyway. Will be going there in Nov. What platform are you selling on right now?
Hi! Thanks for sharing! I'm on Shopify right now. I'm staying completely off of Amazon for the exact reasons you mentioned. I feel like now the only thing that happens on there is that you put your item on and as soon as they see it's doing well, they undercut you and make it impossible for you to sell. I hope you have a great trip to Yiwu and would love to hear your thoughts after you've been there!
Unfortunately this trip is no longer being offered. They shut down in 2020 and have not started doing these trips again. I have found another company that I'm speaking to about going on a trip in 2025 and will definitely share that experience after going!
Hi! Yes it is a 2019 vlog! Obviously with 2020 events, going to China for sourcing was no longer an option for awhile! I decided to share my 2019 trip because it was a complete game changer for my business and would have a massive impact on anyone who is sourcing products for their business. If you watch till the end, you'll see exactly what I mean! I have such insight even years later after doing this trip and thought it would be helpful for anyone who is traveling there currently! I have plans to go back in the spring of 2025 and can't wait to share what's changed and what I will do differently the second time around. I thought it would be highly beneficial for someone thinking about traveling to Yiwu for sourcing. It's my understanding after talking to a few people who have started doing these trips again that the process has not changed at all. I'm excited to update you when I travel there again in 2025!
