  • Brian Parry, a former California Corrections Officer, has become a prominent advocate for the release of Rene "Boxer" Enriquez, a former leader of the Mexican Mafia. Parry's support for Enriquez's release is rooted in his firsthand observations of Enriquez's profound transformation and genuine commitment to redemption. Throughout his career, Parry witnessed the harsh realities of prison life and the potential for change within even the most hardened individuals. He chose to advocate for Rene because he believes in the power of rehabilitation and the importance of giving people a second chance. Parry's dedication to Enriquez's cause highlights his belief in restorative justice and the potential for positive change within the criminal justice system.

This is the story behind the story. Crazy how a life long cop that was responsible for putting Enriquez away for life ultimately helped him win his freedom. Keep up the good work. Good luck Rene.

I don't know very many people who could take Brian Parry's lunch money. Rene isn't one of them. I know them both. If Brian held his hand up for Rene, it was deserved. I know many people are skeptical about someone of Rene's history being able to sincerely change. But, it does happen. Really.

So this cop arrested Rene and ultimately advocated for his release? Damn however you feel about either one of these guys, it’s a crazy story.

Interesting outcome, the assistance in prosecutions of active affiliates is insane.. has Rene ever disclosed his reasoning? How does a high ranking lifelong member of one of the worlds most notorious organizations just "fatigue"?

His reasoning for dropping out?? He was a really shitty person that used his position to hurt a lot of people. He was fucking people over left and right and it eventually caught up to him. He had strong allies but after most of them passed away or went to the Feds, the brothers that were left were sick of his scandalous ways and had enough of him. He knew it and didn’t want to face it so he dropped out. He’s the worst kind of person, people only fall for his bullshit cuz he’s a master manipulator.

Knuckleheads are going to be Knuckleheads no matter what level you are in prison. The biggest Knuckleheads in control are the issue. No doubt Rene had the smarts and that was his downfall, being the smartest guy in the bunch.

I wanted to watch the video to hear some of the details and which helped him motivate changes his mind. He gave some details, but they were very in depth as to why those details help sway him to change his mind cause for me it would have to be overwhelming evidence, not surface level evidence, but again this video let me down. It said a little something, but it wasn’t what I was expecting.

I know this idea has been thrown around loosely but, had he gone in a different direction in life, he would be at the head of a fortune 500 company right now and be a billionaire. I feel terrible for him with the loss of his son. But he has made some terrible mistakes and done things that can never be reversed. But I feel that he deserves a chance to show the world that he is truly a changed man and does not follow those bs politics anymore. I don't think people truly understand the hold that an organization like the MM or NF has on a young man from an early age. You fear them, you respect them, you see the power they wield, and when you come from the inner cities and see the thumbprint they have on your community, you fall in line. Rene is way past that point and deserves a real chance at life. Just my honest opinion.
