I was 13 and OBSESSED with this song when it was released in 1970! To see young people covering it so well just chokes me up! Really does my heart good! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic job on this cover of Sugarloaf's "Green Eyed Lady" (released in 1970). This song still ranks in my Top~5 songs of all time. Each instrument's tone and every chord & note were Right On ☆☆☆☆☆ I'm from the Class of '74 and truly appreciate you young cats !!
Just got around to reading these comments from all of you guys/gals.... thanks so much. these kids were middle teens back when this was recorded. The "House Band" at the School of Rock, Rochester, MI. Three of the kids from this group are now at Berklee, and several others are in prominent Detroit area rock bands. Talened bunch.
Great job on this great song. Knowing that good classic rock is and will be alive when I am gone is comforting. These young people are so talented. This video is 8 years old, so by now they should be rock stars. I hope.
Better than any middle aged men in cover bands on you tube attempting this classic tune. These kids stayed true to the original album version. Having a girl sing it and sing it well was an interesting twist. Drummer nailing the bass drum pattern, guitar parts note for note. Good keys sounding very nice. Thumbs way up!
I play in a grand dad band and I am going try and get my fellow geezers to work this song up! This version by these young-uns is an inspiration! What a joy to watch and listen to this! Good music knows no age or generation limits!
sweeeeeeet! i grew up Sugarloaf and you know what? ALL VERSIONS ARE SOOO SOOO GOOD! God gave us the gift of music - its how all God's children's connect! now! Go Forth - enjoy life and prosper!
Nice to see the younger generation have great taste in music. Great job on this. If I'm not mistaken, looks like the young lady singing has green eyes 😏.
The Young Dude on bass here plays drums on another video (Journey to the Center of the Mind). As this was over five years ago, I wonder what his main instrument is, today?!!
While my main instruments ARE still drums and bass, for the past year I’ve been really digging into guitar! If you want you can check out my TH-cam channel! I’ve posted some more videos of stuff I’ve done on my own channel, not my dads 😂
The recording of this song sucks , but the presentation is good ! I'm glad to see some young kids take an interest in CLASSIC ROCK MUSIC of the 1970's !!
I was wondering how she was going to do on that keyboard solo and she did really good, as well as everybody else. The only thing they need to do is turn up the singer's volume a little more, it's a little low.
Heard the original band at "The Junction" in Colorado Springs in 1970 while stationed at Ft. Carson Army Hospital. Met the band afterwards. Drummer was far out.
Green-Eyed Lady had that good '60s vibe to it, and it came out in 1970. The last gasp of psychedelia before the great move back to the basics of rock n' roll.
Ha! Nice job. I was with Sugarloaf for a couple years. Lead singer, along with Corbetta. When I left the band, Bob Raymond gave me a Hofner bass, and I became a bass player. (I played guitar around Denver in my own band before I joined them.). That bass got me started and I played with a lot of famous people. Etta James, Greg Allman, Chuck Berry, etc.. I was on Led Zepplins label Swan Song with the band Detective. We now own the rights to Detective and the drummer and I are putting together another version. No Michael Des Barres, no Michael Monarch, (Steppenwolf.), but a couple young guys. Ironically the guitar player is Bailey Raymond, AKA Kick Stevens, who is the bass player from Sugarloaf's grandson! so, there's a roundabout for you. Thought you might like the story. There's going to be a documentary and possibly a movie coming out in the future. By the way. We had a reunion in Denver a couple years ago. You can see it on You Tube. Sugarloaf live 1975. I think it is called. Good luck, I hope you are all still playing music and have found your play in the music world. Take care. Bobby Pickett
Excellent job! It's comforting to this old dude that rock and roll is in good hands.
Just thinking the same thing
Mankind is definitely not lost yet

Amazing these high school kids like playing this 1970 tune! I was only 15 yrs. old then, and I still like at 67 yrs. Old.
I'm 73 and still enjoy this one. We grew up with the B3 bands. I was in one.

I just found this. Great performance! These kids have a very bright future in music. Great attention to the nuances of this song.
These young people rock! Wish we had a high school band like them when I graduated in 1976. They would have been very popular on campus.
You guys AND girls did a fine job of covering a great song. Extremely talented beyond your youthful years. Continued success and good luck.
