I remember when "Green-eyed Lady" came out and everybody trying (and failing), to play that badass organ solo! It was hot back then and it still is! RIP Jerry .🎹🎹🎹🎹👑
What an outstanding song, bass line, & keyboard solo. Jerry sang great & he was not afraid to freshen up his sound with the Korg. I love & have the old stuff too but sometimes it is, well the old stuff. It does let a singing keyboard player come out front & hang with the frontline & audience. Bravo Jerry! RIP man, you were a great one. Oh, & Mike Pinera still rocks!
Back in my roadie days, I worked a number of shows with the Classic Rock All-Stars. I really enjoyed hearing their stories from back in their hay days. Peter, Jerry, Steve, and Dennis were all cool guys. And their set list was second to none. 😎☮️
What an amazing group of players. There's 4 guys up there! And they are just crushing it. Guys could really play their instruments back in the day. Awesome.
These guys are music legends. Awesome music. I saw Rare Earth in the 70’s in Corpus Christi Texas and Pete Rivera was outstanding with not only his singing and also his drumming.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have green eyes. There have been a couple of songs that mention green eyed women but this one is the definitive one. "My" song since 1970 when it was first released! Still sounds fabulous in 2024!
met mike pinera & helped him carry equipment back to his hotel he graciously signed every lp I owned that he had played on. Jerry signed about 5 sealed copies of green eyed lady lp as well as other sugarloaf lps & solo lps.awesome band & my 8 year son shared the stage with them during a Halloween concert.he won dressed as Dracula
Saw these guys a few years back at the Punta Gorda Block Party, Mark Farner was playing with them as well. They ROCKED the house! Both young and old (my generation) was moving to the groovin!
Wow !! and I have never heard of them. It took a news of a guitarist death for me to find this gem !! :( RIP to a great musician although sadly uknown to me before today
Hi, I am wondering if I can use a couple clips of this video in my Jerry Corbetta Storytime video? I'll give the link in the description and a shout-out! 😀
Heard the band at "The Junction" in Colorado Springs in 1970 while stationed at Ft. Carson Army Hospital. Met the band afterwards. Drummer was far out.

Mike Pinera on guitar… co-wrote and sang “Ride Captain Ride” in his band Blues Image in the early 70s. Super talented guitarist 👍🏻
He really had an excellent voice! I’m surprised he didn’t have more hits besides this classic song.
RIP Jerry Corbetta
Don't Call Us/We'll Call You was a minor hit for Sugarloaf.
@@JohnnyNation Yeah, and that was a good song too! I remember now. Thanks!

These guys played Reno frequently and I saw them a few times there but they had Spencer Davis with them.
I love this song, my highschool rock band covered it, but it was never #1 only made it up to #3 in the US (no small feat) it did make #1 in Canada.
Just freeking great!

My first thought is, an American Rod Argent. And that's a compliment.
What a joke
Good performance, but really miss the Hammond B3 from the original recording
