Me too😶But she said it gets moldy if you don't add a lot so i guess is necessary for the recipe
But you have to do a 1:1 ratio for these syrups :D
She preserves them by adding a lot of sugar, usually people do these to preserve some foods for eg. Many amounts of salt and oil in pickles, lot of sugar in jams etc. Apparantly, adding an huge amount of some ingredients preserves the food for a long time... hope it helped 😊
Edit: watched that part again, she added lemon juice there so I guess that makes it less sugary, idk man I'm not an expert when it comes to foods and nutrients 😓
They don't eat it all at once so it's probably fine.
