Keith Karrot A little too cutesy for my taste. Plus, if the target audience is absolute beginners, she should really explain that “Chan” Is only used by women. Although she does that on expression number 23 or so, she does not explain that earlier on in the video. Also, there were several instances where the expression was rendered only in Thai, and not in English transliteration. And absolute beginner would have no idea how to read the Thai script.

Hearing the words while reading them in the center, then having to read them again in the corner. This is the way to go for learning thai words and picture them (forging a mental image of the words). Relying on use of non-thai phonetics systems is a waste of precious time. I did hate having only one or two students but me in the classroom wanting to learn how to read and write and only be presented with words written in english (I'm not a native english speaker) using latin alphabet biased phonetics... If you are a guy you will say pohm (The O in pohm is pronouced as a long O) don't say chan as a guy that is only for GIRLS. And so on that would have made it more clear to me and i will be abke to make sentences my self usin these words. I hope you understand my problem 😊
I’ve learnt a lot of Thai because of this video thank you. The only thing I will say is you go too fast and you could have paused for a few seconds for us to try and repeat it.
Nice experience attending this session of Jay, but when a sentence is formed it should also be written on the board. It will help us catching the words easily and make us more clear.

After learning Nihongo, I want to learn Thai language as well because of the The Idolmaster Side M song which is My Pen Light (Thailand ver.) they considered the Thai words in their lyrics such as Mai Penrai and Khap Khun khrap. So, I decided to learn it because for me it is a very interesting language.

wow now i found that thai grammar is same as bahasa indonesia. Thanks for sharing this! Hopefully it'll be very helpful during my vacation in thailand :3
Yes it is! I'm studying bahasa at school and knowing Thai definitely makes it easier for me to understand Indonesian grammar
Bahasa Indo paling gampang di pelajari buat orang asing. ❤ dan sama juga cara bikin kalimatnya sama ภาษาไทย.
Grammar-nya sama, tulisanannya bikin pusing.
Did it help? Were people able to understand you?
ขอบคุณมากครับ ผมชอบภาษาไทยจริงๆมากเลยครับ
ThaiPod101 admin, if you read these comments I would like to place two requests:
1. Please post a lesson dedicated to words sequence and sentence structure.
2. Please consider sharing a list of Thai words, much like SpanishPod101's 300/600/1300/etc. Word videos.
I am married to a Thai citizen and I will be moving to KK, Thailand soon and want to make sure I can speak a few phrases, but I want to really learn your language in writing and speaking.
The best thai lesson about phrases so far. Thank you so much 🙂
Thank you so Very much. Your clear pronunciation is most helpful. I really appreciate your videos.🌷
This is awesome. Thai is easy... no really tricky pronunciations. Korean is much harder.
Tones in Thai are hard to master, even tones in Mandarin is easier
different people with different mother tongue would find some language thats harder for them.
I think Korean is easier to speak. Tones in Thais are... damn
Like to learn with her. She makes it with so much fun, the good mood comes over😊
Very thnkyou Thaipod

Im half Thai and i can speak Thai but not 100% so this really helped me❤ and when i grow up i want to live in Thailand THAILAND IS THE BEST COUNTRY ❤🇹🇭
I would be much happy if you could explain the meaning of each words like in "can you speak English" so you should have tell the meaning of "khun" "phuut" "phaa-sâa".... And so on that would have made it more clear to me and i will be abke to make sentences my self usin these words.
I hope you understand my problem 😊
I absolutely agree with you.

I’ve learnt a lot of Thai because of this video thank you. The only thing I will say is you go too fast and you could have paused for a few seconds for us to try and repeat it.

After watching tons of online class for beginners , I found this your channel has me most interested
Nice experience attending this session of Jay, but when a sentence is formed it should also be written on the board. It will help us catching the words easily and make us more clear.
used to live half the year in thailand until my mother died, trying to pick up the language thank you for helping so much
I like your channel and these videos but I wish when you do the phrase examples you would phonetically spell out the thai words in English as well krap 😜
Thank you very much. Your pronunciation is easy to understand.
