- The all-new Sightmark Wraith has turned out to be a big hit. With easy to operate menus, functions, and features this is going to be a favorite of both predator and hog hunters alike. The Wraith features a full 1080P HD sensor and cut filter that allows it to use "invisible" Infrared light to ID objects as small as rabbits to over 250 yards with the included IR. Haven't had a chance to test if it holds zero, but mounts just fine and has nice clear glass. There's no parallax adjustment or focus ring, so may be limited to 3-7x, have to see how it is on the range. Also be aware that the rings are "look through" so you can still use irons, but they are really tall if you only intend to use the optics. On a 22LR no biggie since I'm not shooting competitions or worried about a hard cheek press. Will boresight and range test, if all goes well, I'll leave it at that!

i got the 2x version and i was really impressed with it for day/ night. my scope unfortunately had a series of glitches. first the external power port failed and caused a red screen, did the troubleshooting where you hold the power button for 3 seconds multiple times without the batteries in it. tried the power port and nothing. so i went to 4 lithium ion batteries and it took multiple tries but it eventually turned back on and got me through the evening. the next day i went to try and turn it on with the same lithium batteries and nothing, device was totally dead. swapped the batteries like the troubleshoot says and nothing device wont take power form batteries or external and wont power on. only used it for maybe 1 hour never even fired off a shot or anything so recoil didn't do it. im a mechanic and gunsmith and Ham radio guy so electronics and mechanical devices are my bread and butter i dont believe is mishandled it in any way but who knows. i liked the device so much though i was so impressed with its abilities that i opted to get another one and returned the broken one. im hoping it was a fluke since these get such a good review from everyone. another thing to note was my box looked crushed like it fell during shipping and maybe this effected it. i just wanted to have this here for anyone interested in these optics

I seen they offer the QD mount, as well as a extended rail mount for bolt action. I would really like the ability to quickly remove and attach the optic with the QD, do you think it still gives a usable eye relief on a 700 short action?

i more my ir illuminator from one side to the other side. so i could be get to the focusing ring. now on your video the deer and the hogs are more clearer that what i see thru my wraith scope. is there a setting that well make the image more clearer.
Make sure your IR light is aimed properly and at the narrowest beam setting on the light head. Aiming the IR is accomplished by loosening the 2 screws holding it in the mount and pivoting it while in night looking through the device. If the lights in the narrowest spot setting you should be able to easily tell where the center of the light is. If this doesn't work check to make sure you have good batteries or you could consider a more powerful upgrade light. Grainy images are normally a product of not enough light being reflected back to the sensor.
I have 2, like them both suit my needs.

Can I use any power bank to power up my sightmark wraith 4-32x50.i use it mostly for charging my iphone or my headphones.
i was having troubles getting a good clear image after i went past 8 zoom i did mess with my focus and i still had troubles do you have any tips that could help

I like the QD mount option I have 4 air rifles .22, .25, .357 cal and it would be nice to be able switch the scope between guns. Which brings me to mag clearances do you figure for my Airgun’s top loading rotary mags. So will I need high adapters to clear the mags.
I honestly don't know on the top loads, I run the Airforce single-shot PCP rifles and don't have a top load.

If you use the mount setup it comes with do you need a
picatinny rail to be able to mount this scope on a bolt action rifle?
You do need a picatinny rail to mount to. I don't need an extension rail on a bolt gun but I have had several guys claim they do. Sightmark has a new extension style direct replacement mount coming out but I have not had my hands on it yet.

How do you like it?
@@mattbrewer9487 I had an issue with it but seems to have resolved itself. No daytime color for the first few days, the unit went all blurry then came back in color. Seems to work fine now. The field of view is "extremely" narrow and for any shot over 50-60 yards you will need some type of tripod or shooting sticks as any movement at all will have a major effect on accuracy.

At night pretty similar to the ATN X Sight 2 5-20. Much narrower FOV than the 3-14 but a better image.

I wish it had a longer warranty 3 years is nothing . The price now is 449.00 . They now have the 2x -16x hd which people like a lot better . The also now have the new 4k in both 4x and 2x . both the new 4ks have audio and a lot more options .
The 3-year warranty is pretty typical for this type of device and Sightmark has great customer service. The price is still 499.97 and has not been reduced. The 2-16 model has wider FOV which is desirable for some users but it loses a fair amount of operating distance vs the 4-32 model. Personally, I sell about an even amount of both based on how they are being used. The new Wraith 4K Max is currently available in 3-24x. The 4K does have audio recording where the original HD series does not.
Will rechargeable CR123 work in the IR light??
I don't think so. It appears that they are using a resistor to set the voltage because when I run a 16650 at 3.7V input wattage goes down significantly. I assume 123R nominal output of 2x37 (up to 4.2x2 or 8.4V would be do the opposite (increase wattage) and probably burn the LED out.

Hey man can I use this for shooting inside of 10 yards??
It will certainly close focus that short (about 5yds) and I believe you would have enough adjustment span at that distance. (The shortest I have ever set one up is about 15 yards and I still had plenty of reticle adjustment.)
I have to wear reading glasses because of my age, will I be able to focus this to my eye or will I need to wear reading glasses?
The eyepiece has a fast focus adjustment that will diopter adjust from -6 to +3. Correcting magnification to the display should not be an issue with or without glasses/cheaters for most. I typically run cheaters as well and have no need for them on the Wraith.
I just bought a Wraith and am still playing with it to figure out how to set it up best for me. The first thing I did find was that with my glasses, which are transition glasses (auto darken in bright light/sunlight) cannot be used. The light from the scope actually darkens my glasses and makes it as though I am wearing sun glasses.
I would like to know if it work on a air rifle I will be good by putting it on my .22 Hornet rifle ??
Should work perfectly. Digital optics like the Sightmark Wraith don't have a traditional mechanical reticle/turret collar and springs, the reticle is mapped and imaged into the display, so reverse recoil is not an issue.

Left arrow presses will cycle the unit from day to black and white gradient night mode to green to black night mode and then back to color after each press.

Not built in the scope, however you will find some good reticles that can make stadiametric range estimation and holdover estimates pretty quick and accurate.

Sightmark recommends. 308 recoil or less, I am aware of guys running claiming to run above that with no problem, but l don't recommend exceeding the manufacturer's recommendation.
Does atn handle that recoil
The HD 2 is rated for up to. 308 semi automatic the 4k is rated higher to above 6000 joules. The more important ATN question would be, is it as reliable.
No way that's the factory ir
They don't work well in the north or cold weather. So save your money if you want to use this in winter months. Wait until they come out with something that wasn't designed for just the south. And i am talking 32 degree's. The only thing i can tell you is keep it out of the case if law allows and by the heater at full blast. Hunt for a half hour if you can then heater back up again. This is the problem with digital. I hate to pay for thermal and see if that works in cold weather, and yes proof that it works in cold weather.
dont waste your money this thing is garbage trust me you will regret buying this.
