    Great showing of an interesting product Travis, and I totally agree on the choice for a rimfire rifle!😊

      Thanks for watching Mike. I hope Iowa passes year-round with thermal for raccoons in June, with basically no trappers anymore the turkeys could sure use the help.

    Up to what caliber rifle could this be affixed to without causing damage from recoil?

  • @drewhenderson13
    @drewhenderson13 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Does this share a mounting footprint with anything? It looks very similar to an acog mount.

    • @foxoptic5887
      @foxoptic5887  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It does, I am running the American Defense Trijicon Mini ACOG mount AD-B2 on mine. The Sightmark Wraith Quick release also fits it. You want to be a little cautious as some manufacturers have a small vertical rise at the top of the interface angle. I don't know if that would interfere or not, the AMD mount doesn't have that.

    I really dont need the detail that comes with 640 types. I want to slap this on my 300 blackout (16 inch). My question.. recticles.. Im currently running the ACOG RCO 4x32. That has a drop compensator for the 300 blackout ammo. I know Trijicon has a termal with a 300 blackout reticle. I need a cheaper one. Lol

    Can I use it with 3.7v
    cr123 rechargeable batteries?

    • @foxoptic5887
      @foxoptic5887  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I run the Tenergy 700 mAh 3.7V rechargeable batteries with no issue. Be careful with length, lots of the brands I tested were to long.

    • @foxoptic5887
      @foxoptic5887  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just to be clear, I mistakenly said 700 mAh they are actually 750 mAh (black and gold RCR123A 3.7V)

    I have the Mini in NV on the FX. It resets the reticule to the center of the screen after zeroing. How about this scope? I see your reticle is way down on the vertical axel.

      Sightmark Wraith Thermal does not, if that's a deal breaker, look at the Pulsar Talion XQ38 www.foxoptic.com/talion/pulsar-talion-xq38-2.5-10-thermal-rifle-scope-pl76561/

    How easy is it to zero?

    • @foxoptic5887
      @foxoptic5887  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Super easy, the same 1-Shot Zero as the Sightmark Wraith Mini 4K units. Essentially aim the reticle at the target, and shoot, then hold the reticle on the initial aiming point and move a visible red X to the bullet impact location, hit the center button once and the next shot will be on target. Very simple and intuitive.

    Is the screen too small?

    • @foxoptic5887
      @foxoptic5887  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It certainly is not as big as the Pulsar AMOLED display screens, however, even though I have decently "old" eyes and normally don't get to far from cheaters, its bright enough that I don't have any issues seeing it.

    Had a Wraith 4k max, load of rubbish. Wouldn't hold zero, worst scope I've ever had

    • @foxoptic5887
      @foxoptic5887  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sorry to hear this. Most guys are getting along fine with the 4K Max. (Discontinued) The 4K Max was made in China by a different company than the 4K Mini and HD series. These thermals are made in Thailand using the French Lynred sensor. (Based on my experience with 4K Mini, I think they will prove to be extremely reliable)
